  1. I have a Tial 44, has been mounted with car idling but never seen boost. 13lb spring if I remember. $300 and I'll ship it tomorrow.

  2. I use a Zune on my Vista pc, and it recognizes it perfectly.

BTW, my pc now boots from a dead start to idle in under 30 seconds.

My macbook starts up from dead start to idle in 20 seconds. ;)

  3. Ah didn't know it was coming standard now, haven't touched much on any mac shit since pre-osx really :)

I would however highly disagree on nothing comparing to OS X :) Think about what its based off of :)

    What is it based off?

Never, in my 5 years of owning macs have I ever had even a minor problem with an operating system. The simplicity and capabilities of OS X Leopard are incredible.

  4. Macs come preloaded with boot camp now, so you just throw in a windows operating system cd and go. It's very simple. I just hate having to format 30gigs of my hd for an operating system just to run 1 program on.

I also run parallels so I can be running both operating systems at the same time in different windows.

IMO nothing compares to OS X Leopard.

  5. I just installed vista on my macbook as I need a windows operating system so I can run my AEM tuning software. I've never been so lost and confused before (being a mac user for many years doesn't help). A family member had a vista basic CD sitting around so I just used it. It sucks having a 2nd operating system on a computer just for tuning.

Space Ghost, you'll be very happy with a mac.

  6. Plates will remain. :)

BOV flange welded on, bracing system for turbo on (bracket doubles for new oil filter location), dump tube done, test pipe in progress.

    More terrible pics:

  7. I'm not a numbers man. I think dyno queens are stupid and useless, and I would much rather have a 29 second car thats fun to drive and can autocross like a beast.

    To each his own, though.

It's not going to be a dyno queen. I'll be autocrossing/road racing for much of this summer. Many of the high number S2K guys are competitive.

If I were to build this thing N/A I would have already spent more than I have on my current setup to reach a power level not even close to what my setup will be making. I just couldn't justify spending an arm and a leg for very minimal gains when I can spend the same or a less amount of money for a setup with outstanding gains.

Sure a n/a tuned S2K is great fun, but a boosted high hp S2k for the same price is going to be a hell of a lot more fun.

As you said, to each their own.

  8. That is a sweet project, although personally I am more of a NA high rev motor guy.

I've yet to see a F20C or F22C break over 325whp n/a. I've seen quite a few in the 600's and a select few in the 700's turbocharged. n/a tuning on this engine is very expensive as well. My total build cost INCLUDING the car is ~$26,000 +-$1000. In the future I may upgrade the valvetrain and string this pig out to 9500rpm+.

  9. +1.

Why not go with a smaller turbo and enjoy daily driving a little more? I know you have a stupid high redline so lag may not be a concern for ya. Just wondering and i'll admit to not knowing much about s2k's.

    Absolutely gorgeous car though. Kudos.

I posted earlier, my goal for now is 450hp/300tq daily driven for now. More will be made for special occasions. With a GT3076R (great turbo for this car) I would be near out of the efficiency range with just a little more power, with the GT3582R I will be within the efficiency range, still have much potential and have a harder hitting top end as this turbo moves much more air. It should be spooled up ~4500rpm and redline is 9000rpm. This is a top end performing car and I suppose using the GT35R keeps that "trait". Anywho, it will be much better than the Vortech I used to have that didn't reach full boost until redline.

  10. I have a few (not very good).

  11. Greetings from up north, thought I'd stop in and share a few pics of my junk as I finish it up. I may be in your neck of the woods soon for some tuning from SlowMotion.

    Enjoy!

  12. k20's are the motors in the RSX and S2K and the new civic Si if im not mistaken..they are capable of HUGE numbers from a tune alone you can be in the mid 13s, i have seen people do K24 blocks(CRV) on a K20 head and make even bigger numbers because the K24 block can be sleeved out to be bigger than the K20 combustion chambers(they didnt make it that big), but they are fast cars none the less, there is a black civic hatch with orange wheels with a K20 swap

The S2000 does NOT use the K20.

    MY00-03 have the F20C

    MY04+ have the F22C

  13. It drives around N/A now. Still need a few minor things fabbed. (charge plumbing, down pipe flange, dump, bracing system, etc. It's getting very close.
