  1. I'm just curious why now though? She's done the same thing to the kid so many times let alone walks under our feet all the time. She's not fixed could she be in heat and just irritable more easily?

Maybe she's been hurt or sore from the 3 yr old falling on her in the past, so now she's reacting negatively? All it takes is that one time.

I'm all about dogs being gentle with children, but I also strongly believe in children knowing how to respect the dog's space as well...

  2. Go see my wife at Helzberg Diamonds at Tuttle Mall. Helzberg has high quality products with an excellent warranty. They are also owned by the Oracle from Omaha so they aren't going anywhere. Ask for Tara.

    -Erik

I work at Helzberg also! Love Tara, she's great!

My $.02, from an engaged woman who works at a jewelry store...

    1. Don't buy from a small mom and pop store. As much as I love to support local businesses, it's too much of a risk. If/when the business goes under, you'll be paying out the ass for repairs elsewhere. Rings break/stones get loose/things need fixed. It happens, it's inevitable. If you buy the warranty from a nice stable company, you can get free repairs for the lifetime of the ring. It's worth it, I promise you. I see a lot of people come in and pay a ton of money to fix prongs, tighten stones, etc that bought from places like IDG.

    2. Screw these guys, spend what you want. Talk to your girl about it, if it's not a surprise. Find a price that works for you guys and work with that. This is HER ring, no one else's. If it IS a surprise...well ummm good luck with that haha

    3. To the guy who said he paid $8k for a 2carat diamond? SERIOUSLY? It must have been shitty quality. Nice cut/clarity 2 ct diamonds don't go for that price at reputable stores. They just don't. I hope you meant TOTAL weight, not diamond only.

    4. Back to cut/clarity. Make sure you really take a look at the depth of the cut, etc. There is so much about the diamond that is important to how it will look. I tend to prefer round diamonds over princess cut, etc. because of the way they're cut. Round diamonds have more facets. Facets = shine.

    5. I've seen people come into the stores with stones from Blue Nile that they thought were nice quality and at a nice price. Sure, they were pretty stones, but they had an iridescent hue to them. Makes them look less of a quality for what you paid. They don't include iridescence in the description online. It sounds like a great idea to buy online, but you're much better off seeing the stone under a scope before you purchase it. Oh and PLEASE look at the diamond under the scope before you buy it. So important.

Take your time, my fiance and I bought a few stones from different stores after we found my setting and compared them. We spent a really long time picking out my ring, but I will have it forever so it was worth it!!

Oh and he bought from Jared at Tuttle. They've given me amazing service and I think we made a great decision going there!

  3. We just bought our house in December and we looked for quite a while, we went to over 40 houses. Dublin and Hilliard were way overpriced. We even looked up in Powell, the ghetto part off of like Summit Row, and they were trashy and nasty for such a high price. Oh and I'd stay out of Columbus City Schools!!! We looked all over the west/southwest/northwest sides of Columbus, and decided on Grove City (I also grew up here, so I feel comfortable here). We started looking at houses that were about $130k, went up to about $150 in the Powell/Dublin areas, and bought one in GC well under $120. A great house (big backyard, great neighborhood, can see the park from our front door, 2 car garage, etc) for a great price. And we love it!
  4. I have a ton of stuff I want to get rid of...

Off the top of my head what I want to sell:

I have an RTR e-savage that is torn apart right now but I had bought $90 worth of parts to put back into it. I just don't feel like putting it together, I lost interest in it. http://www.hpiracing.com/kitinfo/547/

Has everything to make it a RTR.

And I have 2 Traxxas Slashes. I want to get rid of 1. I could probably set you up with a controller but it will need batteries, that's it.

PM me if you're interested in them and I'll give you prices :)

  5. I agree...Kongs are good, I really like the Kong Wubbas as a fun toy that is pretty tough. It's a Kong covered in nylon basically. That's my #1 pick.

Also, it will totally gross you out at what they are, but check out bully sticks. Good for chewing for long periods of time but not really a toy I guess (just more of a distraction I suppose, good for puppies)...

Some more that were recommended on a dog forum I'm on (but that I have no experience with FYI)

Jolly Balls are another that comes to mind...

But you never know with the so-called "indestructible toys". My dog at 7 years old will gnaw through any toy within seconds if she really wants to. I guess it just depends on their determination! Good luck :)

  6. I have a Mugen mbx6 I've been thinking of selling. Its pretty much the best you can get :) Are you planning on racing?

Orrrrr if I'm still thinking of selling my T4....

How much are you wanting to spend? IMO 1/8th scale is much more fun than 1/10th scale :)

  7. Thats not the only thing that road was good for back in the day.

AHAHA I was going to say this the other day but I felt dirty.

I grew up and still live around Johnson (Oakhurst) and just last Saturday I saw a sheriff had someone pulled over just west of Norton. Thought it was crazy, I've never seen someone pulled over on Johnson before.

  8. I've been trying to find a nitro truck recentally. I got a feeling I'll be able to learn a little easier with a big truck that can take a hit once and a while.

It would certainly help you learn how to put it back together if it breaks. But (depending on what you get) if you buy the biggest truck out there that you can find it won't necessarily help you learn how to drive....

If you get a big ass truck with huge POS tires and the biggest engine you can find, it will be all over the place (sure it'll take a hit but you won't be learning how to drive). If you REALLY want to learn how to drive and have your mind set on starting with a truck, go with a truggy IMO.

  9. I want the hpi savage.

    I'll sell you a destroyed e-savage :D

I missed the ramp while screwing around one day and it hit the curb at full speed. (Psh, women drivers...) Just bought $90 worth of parts for it to put it back together but I really don't feel like it...

Everything you need, charger, batteries, remote, and $90 worth of parts to make it work again :p

  10. I have 4...

Here are the 2 that I race. (sorry for the poor quality, the lighting at the track didn't help....)

    http://i610.photobucket.com/albums/tt181/ThePinkBomber/8328_158365510068_688660068_3242850.jpg

If you're going to spend the money on them you might as well come out to Hilliard and race. :)

Like the guys said, SCT is a good start. I just picked up a used one with remote, battery and charger for a friend of mine in Iraq for $100.

Start off slow and figure out what you like. Then you can spend the big bucks on something you'll love. The 1/8 scale on the left is my baby. It was previously nitro and I converted it to electric. I don't even want to say how much $$$ I have into it at this point... :(

  11. In conclusion, lots of hot bitches (seriously old DeVry alum, more girls than guys now...seriously...), very rewarding Associates program, waste of time Bachelors program, and a few hopefully lifelong friends. Also had some very, very cool professors, like Perkins. (Anyone who graduated from DeVry Columbus knows Perkins, hes the shit)

I always felt like Perkins hated me! haha

I have my Bachelor in Business Administration from DeVry (graduated last year). I worked in the library there for over a year and knew the school and staff pretty well, maybe that's why I liked it there? I didn't think it was bad at all, and the job placement got me my job (in IT oddly enough). I don't think getting my Bachelors was a waste of money at all, I actually want to go back and get my Masters.

I think most of the people who hate DeVry either didn't get the job of their choice at graduation or picked the wrong school in the first place...

  12. Waggs I thought you were completely out of the hobby as far as racing goes?! I didn't realize you stuck with electric, did you convert it from nitro (I know you sold Keith a few nitro parts)? If I don't buy another I plan on converting my buggy to electric for indoor.

It's a fun hobby, here's one of mine...

  13. haha really? well i'll add her tonight and we'll see if i can actually start playing halo again.... would be awesome!

    I'm Kris10Rae on XBL.

Now that we're talking about it, I HAVE to go out and buy my own 360. I bought the one we have for Keith a year ago for his graduation, and on Saturday it had the dreaded RRoD (sending it out ASAP). I haven't really had an urge to play until now. lol I've been wanting a reason to buy one for myself......

Oh, and regardless it'd be fun to get a bunch of girls together to play. It's more fun to beat a bunch of guys when you're in a group of girls ;)

  14. Here's my car, just bought it yesterday...

    :D

I took it to the track today for the first time so now it's nice and dirty.

It was nice meeting you last night, Andy! When are you and Joe coming out to play!!?? Keith and I will be at the fairgrounds Wednesday and Friday.

  15. I called Cat Welfare, and even called all the way to Powell and Gahanna, I called all over. Everywhere is full or they'll only take injured or prego ones :( It let me pick it up today so I'm going to take it to a vet close by and see if it's chipped. Wish me luck with it in my car...

Oh, and Hwilli, you want nudes of the cat? :)

  16. If you take your water hose and spray the cat with water a lot it will not return. I had to do that with my neighbor's cat since they let it outside all the time. It would come over to my house and my cat always chills in the window and looks outside. He gets so pissed if any cat comes in the front yard to the point he is screaming as loud as possible.

    Water FTW.

hahaha not a bad idea, but I'm not cruel enough to do it. Maybe if we do that it'll run away far enough to get lost and end up on someone elses stairwell so I don't have to see the poor thing every time I come here!
