except fiero's are normally rust buckets these days (the frame atleast). Plus its harder to get a transverse engine or make a longitudinal one fit. A v8 miata isn't much of an import. plus, i think fiero's are ugly.

My car weighs about 2500lbs, I though ls1 rx-7's weigh 2800-2900lbs? Thats a big difference.

So thats my car/vid. I saw that this thread was sending a decent bit of traffic to my video so I stop by to say hey. I'm 5'7" and 160lbs and fit great in the miata...haha. My roomates are 6'2" and 6'3" but they can fit, its a tight squeeze for head and leg room though, especially with the top on. I agree the video isn't me doing crazy runs but thats because I still don't have all the bugs worked out of the car. Like I don't have any sway bars at the moment and that makes the handling all sloppy and not confident inspiring. Anyone that knows me would never say I'm a pussy driver, I normally go balls to the wall. I am going to a track day friday and will get some more exciting video then.

I got the complete "drop-in" drivetrain out of a 2002 Camaro Z28 with 20k miles on it. So its the T56 M6. I have a ford 8.8 diff out of a 2002 ford explorer with a custom driveshaft and axles.

yeah i think purple miata is about as gay as they come but that kinda makes it better. It makes them more confused when i destroy them.

thanks. I'm going to a track day at talladega grand prix in munford, al this friday and will have my video camera and gps data acquisition unit. Hopefully I can get some entertaining stuff. I don't have ANY sway bars on the car right now though...haha. So the handling is sloppy (maybe even as bad as a mustang.... ) but I have a new sway bar mount to install when i get time. Have to move the sway bar with the new engine.

I'm a 4th year mechanical engineering student at georgia tech and co-op with general motors up in michigan. I started converting my turbo miata to a LS1 miata over fall break 07 and recently completed it and now terrorize the streets (and track soon) around atlanta. :burn: I created a complete build website for my miata (http://home.comcast.net/~npartist/) and have been posting some videos on streetfire.net. I noticed that a thread from this forum was leading the link clicks to my most recent video so I figure I would stop by and get to know some of you since it seems there is some interest in my car. And not to bash but normally there are a shit ton of misconceptions about a v8 miata so maybe I can represent the tiny v8 miata community...
