I think I am going to have my Lightning semi ready at least...Can I go ahead and sign up?...I didn't get my email this time, so I wasn't sure when it was until Joel mentioned it to me.
-
Sounds like Craig Fusner's car, he is from Zanesville...My best pass with the Lightning was 12.21/112 that day, tranny wouldn't cooperate.
-
No problem Beast, anytime, I needed more than a torque wrench to get Jerry Lee running the way he can.
-
13.26 was the best I could get out of big old Lightning...Tune is way off, fat on the big end and no timing...Had a great time and met a lot of good people...I will definitely be back, and maybe the L will do what it can the next time.

Who is working on their car right now? what you doing

New rotors and brakes on my Lightning...Also, added a Woodbine Motorsport X Factor to stiffen the frame, like the old Kenny Brown...Also added a J&S Vampire anti detonation device so that all the money I have in the engine won't go up in ruin with a bad tank of gas. -
There is some great roads in Morgan county...Some head to Caldwell from McConnelsville and others head toward Athens and New Lexington...The one towards Athens is an absolute hoot...You go across the bridge to Malta and then at the fork of the road after Brock wrecking yard you go straight...Many of the cars in the wrecking yard are from this route.

On one of the other forums I am a member, Lightning Rodder, we are tying to get Hoosier to make a slick in 30/10.5/16...To run the 15" slicks on the L's we have to grind the hell out of the calipers...Anyway, if you would be interested in a tire this size, here is a link to the thread...Thanks, guys. http://www.lightningrodder.com/forum/showthread.php?t=35042

CR Fall Drag Day @ D42 - Registration open!

Just paid for my nephew, his computer isn't operating correctly...He will be bringing his Mustang. -
Brian, I will tell Roger, he will be very interested for sure...Did you make it to 40 passes on Friday?
-
That would make a nice partner for the Harley...Definitely a good looking ride.
-
I was up there with my nephew, he had the yellow '03 Cobra...I was supposed to race but the Lightning is without an engine...We finally had our best pass on the last one...It went 11.62 at 127, terrible short time 1.83, but the car is strong on the big end.
-
If getting towed is your main concern get the ugraded package...The basic package covers a 3 mile tow...Then it is $4.50 a mile after that.
-
I lived through the muscle car era and a dad that always had fast cars for their time, 1 Corvette and a bunch of tri-power Pontiacs...So I didn't have a chance...Now I am on the edge of 60 and am still addicted and poor.
-
If you decide to pay the ticket do what I did, in the memo section of the check put "Miscarriage of Justice".
-
Schmuck, great looking notch...I will have to let the L community know that you have returned to Ford...Even though you downgraded.
-
I would like to give a shout out to Mike, Mike Ward Racing...I have been having a over-heating problem with my Lightning...Mike built me a great engine, and he built me a custom aluminum shroud for the efans that have really helped controlling the heat...Thanks for the personal delivery Mike.

NASCAR hasn't really been what it originally started out to be for a long time...Not since the days of Lee Petty, Fireball Roberts and Fred Lorenzen...The cars they drive now, although much safer, look nothing like the cars they are supposed to represent...It is just your typical spec racing class anymore...I enjoy the drama, but would enjoy it more if they would do it in something that looks like a car you could buy on Monday.
-
I have heard the same thing....Mike has a great dyno so maybe I can give him a call.
-
Only thing I know is what he shouted to me the other day...I spend all day talking to people that aren't going to buy anything from me anyway...I could come up with a better excuse than that in 5 seconds...I think a true businessman would say I don't have time to talk to you now, but if you would make an appt. I would be more than happy to talk to you about your needs...But, even that doesn't explain why you can't get a motor built in 10 months.
-
That's the problem...The motor is going to be beautiful...I polished the blower and the MP idler...The lower, mid, front cover, alternator case, tensioners and thermostat housing are all powder coated Super Chrome...I would have been good advertisement for him if he would have built the motor.
-
I wish I would have done it myself...I could have screwed it up and had it back together 3 or 4 times in the amount of time I have been waiting.
-
Roger on not reusing them...I still don't know why he won't assemble my motor...Everything is there but the heads that are supposed to be at the machine shop getting the exhaust side ported some more...That and the lower that hasn't been ported...He has all the gaskets, studs, pistons, rods, and everything else to finish the job.
-
The stock intake gaskets looked fine when they were removed...There wasn't any tears or anything on them...I have brand new Ford exhaust gaskets and everything for the headers, Staninless Works.
-
That is what I wonder everyday...The parts are there, the machine work is done, except for port matching the lower to the heads...It is beyond me...Could you PM me your contact info?
-
I think the block is ready to assemble...It has been sitting at a local shop for 10 months, whose name I won't mention...I have totally paid for the build and all I get is excuses of why it isn't done...I don't know what kind of mess I am going to get into with the other shop, but 10 months has finally tried my patience to the end...I would like to get it to someone that really wants to build the engine and not give me excuses of why it isn't done yet...I have been lied to for the last time by this shop.
