  1. I forget the name, but the color is from 2000 up Eclipse. IIRC those are pre-67 fenders.
  2. Blah blah blah iphone android phone nerd stuff... I picked up an EVO last month and love it. Fast, reliable, and not nearly as ghey as an iPhone.
  3. I've used Capital 5 or 6 times, and have always had great service. A+ company.
  4. Yeah, already not a fan of the smell of diesel. Even less of one now.
  5. If you watch the video, my neighborhood is right by the freeway. In fact the houses two doors down back up to the wall. I was outside at the time, and heard the tire screeching, but didn't hear the wreck itself. Woke up to this mess today. Never a dull moment around here. http://www.10tv.com/content/stories/2011/10/11/columbus-interstate-270-fatal-crash-closure.html
  6. You're welcome bitch. That pic looks like a typical night up at HD, but in daylight.
  7. I've fubared my fair share of stuff when refininishing parts. Sadly it happens. I did a set of BBS's for a fellow member earlier this year. We were on a super tight schedule, and tried my best to get him a quality job. After the hell of stripping (3 days in the chem bath) and refininishing all four in less than 24hrs. the wheels looked okay, not to my own standarts, and certainly not his. He took them to WM to get them reshot and they came out great. It happens for what ever reason but some jobs are jinxed from the get go. Derek and WM are both reputable companies, I personally have no doubt that they will make good on this. Am I allowed to say all that?
  8. Yep. It's imbedded in the cylinder wall now.
  9. Skorpion makes good stuff. That being the case, I am suprised. Does this thing have a ton of spring pressure? This is where my nerdom for heads and valvetrain kick in.
  10. Outside of baseplates, and main bodies. Garbage. SBC, and SBF rockers are limited to 250# open spring pressures. Basically stock. Yawntastic.
  11. Literally Proform parts re-labeled:dumb:.
  12. Weak shit girls http://i523.photobucket.com/albums/w351/Pats16Valve/IMAG0188.jpg
  13. "A geological oddity" Funny as hell
  14. Being a Motor head, and married has just become official man. Something Jones will never know until same sex marraige is legalized in Ohio.
  15. She was mumbling as she walked away. Something about mechanical asshole, and she actually used the term douchebagery.
  16. I tried that at the track. It didn't work. I know. It took longer than expected for you to post.
  17. Yep, need to get some parts finished, and picked up for dollars. I was laughing when the head came off, the wife wasn't. She forgets that I really don't care if I hurt it or not.
  18. Run a radial slick. M/T and Hoosier make excellent versions. What size radial do you run now.
  19. Don't be scared, just try to find an unmolested one.
  20. In it's own defense this motor has been whored out more than Phil in county lock up. It's earned a break. And I haven't exactly been gentle. In the Summit it made 380+whp for 5 years, and the tuner ran this motor in his 1G before that at 450+whp for years. Bone stock other than BSE kit, and ARP head studs, junkyard head. If there was a pattern would be they'll take a ton of abuse, and make power. And gloriously take a exit.
  21. Judging how the chunk that is missing from the piston is smeared into the cylinder wall, I'd say it detonated and melted. Luckily it didn't damage the valves and seats.
  22. Of all the motors I've destroyed over years, this was likely the least exciting when it went. It took a dump on the first pass at IFO in August. Did a little poking around here and there to diagnose it, then finally pulled the head today, At the track. 2 or 3 quarts everywhere... http://i523.photobucket.com/albums/w351/Pats16Valve/IMAG0070.jpg http://i523.photobucket.com/albums/w351/Pats16Valve/IMAG0179.jpg http://i523.photobucket.com/albums/w351/Pats16Valve/IMAG0180.jpg http://i523.photobucket.com/albums/w351/Pats16Valve/IMAG0190.jpg http://i523.photobucket.com/albums/w351/Pats16Valve/IMAG0189.jpg So back in will go another junkyard short block, I'll clean up the chamber a bit and play with a new heat rejection coating I ordered in for combustion chambers, and the camshafts. Yay me.
  23. Safety equipment FTW. Good to see you came out in one piece Ray.
