(Brake light on dash is also on) You can start and drive this to see that the car works engine just stumbles due to lack of exhaust. If used properly a good (read Escort or V1) radar detector can be a very handy tool. I have used mine to get out of many tickets. Yes its true that some cops use laser but a lot use the instant on KA band. As long as you are aware of your surroundings you can easily tell if its a cop or false alarm. Hell I even use mine in the DD just to reminded me to look down at my speed if it goes off. The escort 8500 I have has also saved me at over a mile range. The people that say it just beeps and never detects cops don't know how to properly understand the different frequences. X K and KA...

I think what bothers me most is that nothing else seems to be done to the car. In most cases you would get the 24" chrome rims with this and maybe some chrome trim, but other than this the car looks stock. I can't figure out what they were thinking.

This was from about 4 years ago. I had been out cruising with some other guys from the Dayton area. We turned left onto 35 W in Xenia by Kilkare. The guys in front with the Evo's, Trans Am's, and faster cars all got on it hard through the turn and pushed it to 100+mph. I was about 6th (and last) in line turning behind them. As I went through the corner onto 35 W I kicked the rear end of the Porsche out right in front of a Ohio Highway Patrol Car (that I did not see in the turn lane.) Mind you everyone else was GONE and there was no way he was catching them. He flipped a U-Turn and pulled me over. Came up and asked me what I was doing. I gave him a line about dropping the clutch in 2nd too fast and the rear slid out on me. He got the license and proof of insurance and walked back to his car. What I would like to know is if some of the people on here who said "no 1320 no care" have ever ridden or driven in a car on a track like Mid Ohio or Putnam Park. Not just sat there and watched. It is one of the most fun things that I have ever done. I understand that everyone's car is setup differently, but even if you have a drag vehicle go to an open track day with your helmet and take a few rides with some of the cars. You might just change your mind on what you do and don't like. To me there is nothing like going at corner at 100+ mph; hitting the brakes hard; getting off the brakes and back into the throttle and powering through a corner faster than you ever could on the street. All while knowing that you will most likely be safe and just out in some grass *(Putnam) if anything goes wrong. Not in the front end of another oncoming car or telephone pole. Plus at most of these events there are some pretty sweet (read: expensive exotics) being pushed to their limits, that the owners are more than willing to let you ride along in.

Wow, I have 5 Friends that I would trust in my house at anytime all people I have known, and hung out with for 5 years + on a weekly basis. I can't imagine not trusting any of my close friends in my house alone.
