  1. Well, that depends on if you want to drive a toaster (appliance) or not. I'm not impressed with accords. My stepmom had one, and the strut bearings (or something?) were failing at 100k miles, as well as many many other things. It generally drove like a giant toy car. I don't know how you can compare a rinky-dink tin can like that with a vault-like, solid, smooth Audi. At the price these cars can be bought, you can do a turbo swap and have a super reliable very fast (mid 12's) car for well under $15k. And you can drive it year around, pwning on lesser vehicles in the rain and snow. There's no comparison.
  2. Man, $42k? What's a regular f-150 sell for, like $18or $20k? I wonder what the towing and payload is?
  3. Wow, that last post makes me look like a real asshole. Maybe I'll just say that truck seems to be better than a regular f-150. That better not be a plastic skidplate on the front!
  4. That is very interesting. Thanks for the link.
  5. Yeah, and these are things that we all do on a daily basis. I would venture a guess and say most people would rather have a nice comfy composed kinda sporty german sedan than jacked up, overstated, ricer truck. Maybe if I lived in Africa Africa (right Chris?) I'd take a baja machine, but this is America and we have pavement. Not like you couldn't buy a beater truck for $800 that could do those things anyway. And for the record, I have pulled 4wd explorerS out of the mud with my 5000 quattro, and Taurus SHOS (notice, both plural) out of the snow and mud with my 5000 and S4. pwned. Flame suit on.
  6. Ah crap I guess I'm gonna die then. I reuse just about every plastic bottle I get at least once. Not only am I still alive, but I'm young and healthy. I'm not sure how a bottle can endure heat, vibration, and months of fluid exposure... but as soon as you take the cap off and refill, it's dangerous. I'm not convinced. If I get sick, I'll sue the dogshit outta the bottling company.

    R8 e-Tron

Hell yeah. I'm still waiting for them to bring back the diesel R8 they almost came out with. They need to get a decent tranny that can handle the 600 ft-lbs of torque or whatever and stick their TDi V10 into some cars already.

    R8 e-Tron

hmm... I think Audi should refocus on pwning everyone at Le Mans again. Does the solar panel field come with the car for recharging purposes?
  9. I've said it once and I'll say it again. Someone who is in a position of authority like a policemen, elected/appointed officials, etc should have STIFFER penalties than the general public. They're supposed to be incorruptible models and they pull this shit? Take it to the track. That being said, I'm sure some of us might not drive like that if it meant getting fired. ouch!
  10. Well, we should build an autobahn and then enact Germany's DWI laws. Makes sense right? Stiffer penalties will get results. If you lost your license for life after one, I bet that would put a serious dent in DUIs. Shit, if they cut your foot off for getting caught speeding, nobody would do that either!
  11. Major bummer. I've almost been plowed over by trucks racing before, wtf? Not familiar with that part of town, but I would expect a bit of police presence there for a little while.
  12. Sorry man, I have no marlin lever-actions for you. I'll tell him about the paintwork offer. Thanks.
  13. Don't know, what did you have in mind? My dad told me someone was coming over to look at the ruger today.
  14. Oh, don't worry about being a dick. Like I said, they my Dad's, and the prices are his. His has the collapsible stock, otherwise looks the same as the one in the pic. Also no transfer fees If you have an offer I will communicate it to him.
  15. My dad is selling some of his collection off... Taurus SHO

That's good to hear. I saw one earlier downtown that looked prety nice, just MINOR rusting around the fenderweels. It was dragging its ass on the ground though
  19. I'm glad I didn't brave the traffic and crowds. I was dissapointed with the TV show even, I'd be pissed if I went down there.
  20. I'll talk shit AFTER she is found guilty, if she is of anything. Hardly a day passes without some politician being accused of scandal, so I'm not too quick to jump peoples shit. I'm very interested to see how this plays out.
  21. A wet clutch can slip much more easily than a dry clutch (obviously) which will take up the shock of the gears smacking into each other. As the miles rack up you may start to experience popping out of gear as the dogs get more and more rounded off.

    Taurus SHO

Oh wow. I nominate this for best post in this thread.

    Taurus SHO

Want to go for 10? I could probably squeeze out a few more on SHO's and such. The Audi 5000/SHO comparison is getting kind of played out though, so I'm thinking about comparing it to something else now... Maybe a grand national or MB 500E or something. Which direction should we take this in?
