  1. I have a MKVI and from the GLI's I have seen with them, I think they look fantastic. Mine came with the "hyper silver" lagunas from the Edition 30 package and I really like them so hard to part with.

Find storage and keep them both! I had silver BBS RC's on mine and couldn't get myself to part with them, even once bent like crazy. So I feel you.

  2. Meh.

Never liked those wheels.. something about peeling carrots or whatever just doesn't do it for me. Love the stance and the car looks good in general though.

Thanks, it's a work in progress as always. And I guess you won't be wanting the wheels if I ever sell them. ;)

  3. I love the peelers and I'm always looking for a cheap set to pop up. I really like the color too.

Depending on what will fit, find the S5 over the S4 peelers; they're a little wider and have more of a concave design. What gen is your GLI? I bet they would look pretty slick on a variety of the last few generations, at the very least. #missmymkiv

  4. Thanks guys. :fa:

Nice try audi marketing team. Almost got me.

10/10 did LOL, would LOL again.

I agree. However, They did a wheel fix and color match for me in the Fall. I will be bring the wheel back to them for the third time to fix the paint. The look was great. But, it started chipping off within weeks of being on the car. At this point, for the $130 I paid and the 4-5 trips there, I could have bought a new wheel.

That's good to know — as I asked immediately what kind of warranty I had on the finish and paint. I'll keep an eye on things, maybe more now after hearing your experience.

  5. It's been a while since I've had anything new-thread worthy, and now that spring has arrived, I have a few things in the works. One of which was getting the peelers repaired (rash) and refinished by Wheel Medic. While having that done, the wheel shop gave me the option of a custom color, so I opted for a dark gunmetal and pulled the trigger. I know they're not some epically custom HRE wheel... but I have to say, I'm in love with the look.

Oh and a big shout-out to the whole crew at Wheel Medic. Not only did they deliver exceptional service, but every person there was great to talk with about the work. A++

  6. I am looking for someone to take over my lease in Grandview (running until August, then available for renewal) — the unit is a 2BD / 2BR with a balcony and attached garage (also a guest pass for a second car). W/D included in the unit. Move-in time can be early January. Rent is $1395/mo. (Non-negotiable, as it will be through the leasing office and not myself)

The community itself is new and very nice, with a 2 minute walk to Kroger on Chambers/Northwest Blvd. It is also a 15 minute walk from the OSU campus, which is great if you tailgate or have tickets to Buckeyes games.

Shoot me any questions on here or at hello@m11studios.com.

    Thanks for looking!

  7. Yeah Clay, it looks slick. I mean, granted I'm a bit biased myself.... ;)

Next time you have something like this to shoot you better call me. Looks freaking awesome, nice shots.

Yes and yes. Thanks man. I need to pick your brain about a variety of filming-related stuff too, so we need to talk cameras and whatnot over a drink soon anyway.

I would not call what I do at the track magic, its more like a controlled dumpster fire wedding shoot where I run around like a crackhead looking for a rock trying to get a shot based on what car is rolling up

On your next shoot I would love to tag along, carry your bags and learn some stuff :fuckyeah:

I literally LOL'ed at the dumpster fire quote.

Thanks for the kind words. I'm saving that quote somewhere for when I'm having a super shitty day at work. :D You don't give yourself enough credit man! And you're welcome to come along any time!

  8. As I was looking at the pics, I though, "These are the kinds of pics I'd expect to see in an Audi brochure or something." Just really fantastic looking.

Really appreciate that! The overhead shots are my favorite really, since they have such a great muted and atypical view of an urban area. Also, after all the time I've spent in the MAG waiting areas, I've had time to look at their brochures, lol.

Great pictures as always. Your stuff always looks like fine art, mine looks like the day after a Kid Rock concert and whiskey bender

Ha, oh please, I love your work man — and would totally want to watch you make magic at the strip. But thank you regardless!

I'm just mad I can't find the CPL filter setting in my Instagram app.

It's hidden; gotta swipe with three fingers and your opposite thumb in the shape of the Zoltan Z.

  9. Looks like they are directly down half way under the rings, aligned with the left and right of the rings

That's where they are on my RS grille too. I'll confirm with Anthony soon if he doesn't see this.

  10. Thanks guys.

Great shots, love the tones you used. Any particular reason you don't shoot with a CPL filter?

Mostly because a lack of sleep resulted in leaving gear at my office... so I had to roll without it.

Nice work Mike, great looking subject matter as well. Wanna shoot an old Z? It would be like stepping back in time for you LOL.

Tim, I'd drive just about anywhere to photograph your car! We have the occasional Z32 drop into Cars and Coffee up here and I have hardcore flashbacks. I feel like I haven't seen yours in so so long!

  11. I had the joy of shooting one of our regular C&C members' cars a few weekends back. Anthony (xanthonyxedgex) was nice enough to get up at the crack of dawn on a Sunday too, so extra thanks to him.

  12. Great photos guys. We had such an awesome time on the rally, and it was definitely way more enjoyable having some experienced people to roll with as well.

Doc, Brian — thanks again for letting us tag along!

Some of my photos from the rally (don't mind the somewhat-duplicate moments from above):

    To Be Continued...

  13. I found a set from my old MK4 GLI and I have no use for them anymore. I know how much of pain it can be when you're in need of these little guys, so they're -FREE- to the first person to speak up. The catch: You need to pick them up at Cars and Coffee one of the next couple weekends.

FWIW: These were bought from ECS about 5 years back.
