  1. ^^^what router do you have? I like the price on the surfboard. Ideally I'd like to get everything for under $150, modem/router/antenna....but is that unrealistic?

So far Surfboard 6121....$70, Amazon antenna for $18, that leaves $62 for a router...any ideas?

I have an older router, it is a Linksys WRT160N, works great no issues. I did spend a bit on an HD Antenna and got a ClearStream 2V as I wanted to mount it in the attic. Looking on Amazon there are a few decent Linksys routers that could be picked up for the price you mentioned. I was surprised to see mine on there still I have had it for over 3 years now and it has worked flawlessly.

  2. We opted for the Surfboard

    http://thewirecutter.com/reviews/best-cable-modem/

WOW has a upgraded DOCSIS system so you have to make sure your modem is cmpatable with them (they have a list - quick google search brings it up)

The only issue i hvae with it is the Blue LED's are SO DAMN BRIGHT. (i have taped them off)

And the price is different if you want white vs black box.

    Microcenter was the cheapest, iirc.

We cut cable in April and bought the Surfboard 6121. We have WOW 30mb for $30 a month and actually just got a letter in the mail that for no additional cost they doubled our speed so I am seeing 60mb down and 3mb up. No issue streaming whatsoever. Here is our list:

    Sling $20

    Hulu $9

    Netflix $9

Amazon Prime $69 for the year. Signed up when they had that one day deal last month.

I like that fact that watch ESPN App can be used with Sling login too.

We have Apple TV, Roku 3 and Chromecast stick so we are covered. Actually like the Roku 3 as there are more Apps. If you have an Android Device and want to watch British TV for free I recommend Mediahhh app. I have been watching the Rugby World Cup matches which has been great for free.

With the kids I thought it was going to be tough to cut cable but with all the content out there to stream it is no issue. Most of the Nick shows are on Amazon and Netflix has a good variety too. Plus PBS Kids is free. I put an HD Antenna in the Attic and we have around 40 over the air channels. The quality of ABC, NBC and Fox is as good if not clearer than cable plus we are saving about $75 a month. Cannot complain.

  3. Seems like we are having issues up here in Cleveland with their upgrade. I have Ultra TV with their signiture bundle. Tonight all of the signiture channels are stating they are not being broadcast at this time. Tried the number for the past hour and all I get is a busy signal. On top of that I checked my bill and I have been changed $35 extra for the Signiture service which I already have and have had for the past 6 months... Really getting annoyed with them.
  4. I agree it does suck they are charging for them. I think the Claddagh here at Legacy Village might be showing a lot of the games. Was there a not too long ago and they had a lot of signage up for the World Cup.

Thanks for posting the link, have not seen that before either. Would be great to be back in SA with family watching some of the games putting down a few Castles at the same time!

  5. I will definately be watching! Directv has games on PPV, might get a few games. I like the fact that Directv has the Tri-Nations, Currie Cup and SuperRugby (Super 15 now) for free on channel 490 during the year.

    Go Bokke!

  6. 200... clutch... Km's.... You're my new MB friend, where are you from?

    South Africa :)

My folks are die hard MB people. Before the 88, we had an 83 Willow Green Manual 200, then the 88, then a 92 Artic White Auto 300E, then 98 Manual C230 Kompressor Sport, he now has an 04 C230 Compressor Coupe and my Mother at the moment has a 08 C350.

Sorry for the thread jack. Good Luck in the rally!

  7. Probably should check the board more often. My girlfriend and I clayed, cleaner waxed, and then waxed the car and did the decals. Pretty happy with how it turned out. Then the car got dirty because I had to drive it around town on some errands lol.

    Pretty stoked about the rally.

Car looks great. My Dad used to have a Smoked Silver 1988 200 just like yours. Great cars, had over 400000 km's on it when he sold it. Only work that needed done to it was the clutch and valve guides were replaced. Great cars.

  8. Thanks for the feedback guys.

PM me your address and phone number, I can likely get you a better price than the call center. You should be able to use the modem you purchased as well.

That would be great Joe. Will PM you the info later this week. We are closing on Friday and want to make sure it all runs smoothly.

  9. We are going to be moving into a new house this weekend. Need to set up internet and cable. We currently have COX internet and it has been great along with Directv. Getting rid of Directv and COX is not in the area we are moving to. Just found out that WOW is now in the area. It is either between TW and WOW. My inlaws have TW and have had quite a few problems with it, namely their internet. WOW seems really nicely priced, looking at the Digital Value Cable and Xtreme 8Mbps which says $91 or so a month.

My question is they are relatively new to the area and wanted to know what your feedback is. I am in Cleveland and know they are in quite a lot of areas in Columbus. For the price it looks great. Will probably be looking at an HD DVR and one other HD reciever, not sure on how much that would change the price. With COX we had to purchase the cable modem, not sure if we could use it with WOW. Right now we pay $94 for Directv and $40 for our internet.

  10. Looks like the invites are working again. Saw some of you guys getting on there, sent an invite to our company gmail, got that going right away.

96blkform, I sent you an invite.

    Awesome, dankie meneer :)

  11. This is my wife's uncle's 2008 Atomic Orange 1LT. Great car and looks amazing. I have driven it a number of times and it runs great. He is not online much and asked if I could put it on a few forums I am on. He is the second owner and purchased it in August 2009 with 2526 miles on the clock. Right now it has 6121 miles. 6 Speed LS3, it is stock down to the filter. It does have the competition wheels option. Here are some pictures, can add more if wanted. He is in Amherst, OH. Car has never seen snow nor rain, always garaged. It will also come with a matching color car cover. Looking for $36K OBO.
