The car will always be a daily driver for me until I can get it to a point where I am happy with it for dd duty and can buy a Miata for a project. I will, however, use the car at track day events like 1/4 mile, auto-x, or rally. What are your goals with the car? I would like a reliable 375-400whp daily driver. I would like as linear a power band as possible, and I could also see adding some dynomat for sound deadening and a carputer.

As far as luxury mid-size suvs go I am a big fan of the Lexus RX. I know they are FWD, but for what you want out of the suv the Lexus really delivers an amazing package. My mom has had a RX300 and RX330 and has loved both.
