I was thinking gears because of a friend of mine that has a Viper, although a Gen1, and he really likes the change to the 3.55s. His comment was that you have a wider powerband and have a noticeable increase on the acceleration. I was skeptical since he would not let me drive his car and hence my questions. A cheap mod though for what it sounds like may make a noticeable difference.

I am interested in changing my stock pinion ratio from 3.07 to 3.55. I think my tires will allow enough traction to handle the additional torque, but I still have a couple of questions... I have a 2001 Dodge Viper GTS with minor mods 1) How badly does this effect gas mileage (noticeable?) 2) Will this change the 1/4 mile much or the 0-60? 3) Any other negatives I am missing? 4) Will this change the speedo and is there something to adjust?

I considered other, like the following: 2008 audi rs4 (too plain) 2009 gt-r (too expensive) 2007 jaguar xkr (only automatic) 2008 infinity g37 (too common) I was leaning towards the CTS-V, but am even more so after reading these posts. I have a friend with an 07 CTS-V and drives it in the snow without problems. I am not too sure about the Mas even with the "low grip" setting. Considering the cost of repair, 4 doors, and the winter months, it boils down to practicality vs looks for me right now.

Are there any decent places in Columbus to get my cars tuned? If so, any ideas as to how much this may run me per car?

I am swapping out one of my cars for one of the following: 2006 Maserati Gransport 2009 Cadillac CTS-V Both are relatively the same price. This would be replacing my daily ride, so I have to consider winter weather, which is def better with the CTS-V. I like the looks of the Gransport better, but am concerned about both wintertime and the DSG (flappy paddle) gearbox. I think I would prefer a normal stick. Thoughts?

I saw a commercial sometime last year with Z-shaped wheels, which I think was on a Nissan Z? I can't find anything on the Internet on these wheels and which car they came off of. Does anyone recall a stock car with Z-shaped wheels?

Where is the rule? I cannot find it anywhere...

Honestly, I vaguely remember the night at Lodge Bar. I do recall the GTP with NOS (presumably DuffGTP) and the one guy I was talking to for awhile that most likely was Mopar. Who is the guy with the Chevelle? He was a very serious guy...

I did have it out, but on the West side. I am closer to Upper Arlington. Had to grab some groceries and figure out a way to squeeze them all in...

Most of the mods are cosmetic, but I have replaced the airbox and put on smooth tubes for the intake. I have also put on a Borla cat-back and performance pads/rotors. The rest is all stock. And I was not at IPS recently, but I was recently at Lodger Bar.

I am from Columbus and am looking forward to meeting new people into cars. I heard that this was the place to come. I have an '01 Viper GTS, an '04 Honda CBR F4i, and an '06 Hyundai Tiburon (the daily driver). I have attempted to 'link' pics below.
