I would assume L76. That's whats in the G8 GT.

When you have collector tags do you only get 1 plate? I've thought I should have tried to get them for my G8 GXP this year but didn't. I think I will next year.

Len Immke has one too for a crazy price. Hmmm... I just went looking for the ad and they dropped their price. This spring it was $250k. That's what I was just wondering. When I bought my G8 GT I bought out of state and had the option of leaving it off since it wasn't already on. I told them to put it on and regretted ever since but now I'm thinking that maybe it wasn't such a bad idea. When I bought my G8 GXP no way was I going to put it on.

I have a 2000 Z71 3 door ext cab and love it. Bought it new and it currently has 178,xxx on it and still going strong. I've had a few minor repairs but nothing too horrible.

If your birthday is after Oct 1 you still get screwed and pay $50. My birthday is in July and I bought a new car in June. In August I went to get personalized plates and they only did a 1 year registration. I made them redo it since I wanted 2 year and wanted to take advantage of before the price increase. My personalized fee went from $30 to $100! I said WTF and they said any birthdays after Oct 1 you pay the $50 or if you get a 2 year. So then I made them tear up that registration and redo as a 1 year. Its ridiculous. Anyone remember the article in the Dispatch about how the state didn't want to dump new plates on everyone since it meant a $2.50 increase per year and now they do this???!

Here you go.... definitely not fake as some of the posts say. Perhaps I drove my GT to pickup my GXP and wanted pics on the lot of them together (true btw). I bought my GXP in Troy (near Dayton) and the wife and I had a great time bringing the two cars home on back roads! I read a few other posts... didn't see much in those either! I figure people can always ask and I can reply! I've always loved cars and until recently I had more utilitarian type cars Hobbies - cycling in the summer (mountain and road) and pinball in the winter. I have a few pinball machines too! Looking forward to getting more into the car hobby.

I bought a GT in December 2008 before GXP's were hitting the lots. Figured no way is the GXP worth an extra $7k then I started thinking about a second G8 as Pontiac was killed so decided to go ahead and drive a GXP. I didn't feel the A6 GXP was worth the extra $ but felt the M6 made the car so I had to go get one! I have been tempted to trade the GT on another GXP but love the color and GXP's are too scarce now so too many dealers want high ADM's.
