Nice intro and also thanks for serving. That is how you should use a jeep. I used to have a Cherokee, and loved to get it muddy. Mine never saw icy water like yours though. Sucks that you would get banned for calling someone out on a raw deal on parts. Either way, welcome back.

i know someone that might be selling his termantor motor etc..he may be going dart 5.0
but i have a spare 460 and c-6 in the back room;) i'll sell cheap to start that build for you.
Thanks Rob for the offer. My brother has a 1968 460 that he did a bunch of head porting on, sitting on a stand. He may need that C6. I'll pass the info on.

nice car welcome to cr. where did you get all your deletes for heater and wipers?
I was considering closing them all up by welding sheet metal, but wanted the option of removal, so I made all the deletes from scratch. I had considered making some templates and then having a guy I know with a CNC hydrocutter make them, but it was easy enough with a band saw, table sander, and drill press with minimal material cost.

Nice car... Wrong motor... J/K... Good luck...
Yeah I know, you can only go so far on a production block. I do have a spare 351W when (not if) I pop this one. I'd love to come across a new modular motor and build a boost horse or do a 460 with a ton of spray. It only takes money, right?

hey todd whats up I bought that cluctch cable off you a while back thanks it works great glad to see you made it over to the site I love that car
Hey Andy. Good to see the cable worked out. Once I get the car on the road, I'll be looking to get some gatherings together. Thanks for the compliment on the car. Someday it will be something.

That wouldve been nice to see! Sad you cut up the shell I use to have a 89 supra and have been thinkng of getting another one
I would have given you the shell with 10 point cage for $250. Believe me, it needed a ton of work. I had 250 hours in the project and was looking into spending $10k to get it rolling under its own power. I cut the cage out of it and plan to use it as a start to a rail/dune buggy. That's a project for another year.

Man, I wish my notch was that clean. Nice find on the car. I like EFI for boost, but N/A, perfer carb. If it were my car, the decision could go either way since the harness and fuel system are already in the car for EFI. Hope to see the car in person some day.

Believe me Rob, if you saw the shop I do some of my work in, your place would look like an organized surgical room.

Thanks for all the welcomes. I hope to get the car on the road soon. I have to keep reminding myself that half the fun is the process of the build, not just the finished product.

Gahanna resident here as well.. what year were/are you?
Much older than you. I graduated from Gahanna in 1989 (man does that make me feel old). I lived out of state and then in Reynoldsburg for a little while before moving back to Gahanna about six years ago.

Welcome back and nice fox. And does your name on buckeye stangs have any truth to it
There is some truth to it, as I do have an 89 caged Supra, that I had planned to do a small block Ford motor, but when I realized the investment involved, I decided not to complete the project. I had the shell advertised a number of times, but I have since started cutting it up to go to the scrap yard. Long story, but I ended up with the notch instead, which is a much better platform for what I want.

Thanks for the compliment Rob (I'm SBFSupra from BuckeyeStangs). No plans for any power adders yet, as the motor is really not built for boost or spray. Knowing myself pretty well, I will likely want to spray a 150 shot to it when I get bored after a day of passes. I did a pretty basic build on the production block, so I have to be careful not to pop it. I still plan to stop over at the shop sometime soon to check out the operation.

Thanks. My DD is a 99 Maxima with some goodies. Nice to see you have good taste in cars.

I was on here a couple years ago, and have met a few members, but couldn't remember my login, so I had to get a new one. My name is Todd and I live in Gahanna. I've been building cars on and off for the last 20 years and have mostly focused on motor swaps and basic small block builds for street cars. My current project is a 92 Fox coupe street/strip car that should put down decent power when done. I like to do all the work myself, so it's going to be a long-haul until it's done. It should be another 8 months until it's road worthy, just in time for the track to open in the spring. I've attached a few pics below to see the progress.

Guess I should put the above in here
