Thanks for the reply, I was leaning toward the SPT...but didn't like the $800 price (before shipping) that I found. I was going to call byers to see if they would match the price and I could just pick it up, but I don't really want the talk about the warranty only being good if a dealer installs it.... I had this thread on nasioc, but it's been 3 days without a response...lame.

I was curious if anyone has heard both of these exhausts (CBE), and what their thoughts are.... I hear the TurboXs exhause is loud, but it's also more economical. Anyone heard about fitting complaints on an 09 wrx?

Not saying I am looking to get work done there, just was curious of everyone's opinion's. When/if I am ready to work on my car, I will check out Slowmotion.

They charge a flat $75 labor rate....seems pretty comprable....

Too bad we never get the sweet cars. This car is bad....although i might be biased because of the flat black paint job...I love that. I'd probably buy it, but knowing American cars, it's probably $35K

Might be able to talk a Suby dealer down on an STI. Also, you could probably sneak an Evo in there...maybe not an MR, but it's still an EVO. That 4K would do wonders..... I would stick with AWD in this area.... Your employer hiring?!?!?!.....lol

Has anyone had any work done at the Toy Barn? I just found out that they build engines and tune....thoughts?

Thanks for the heads up! I may try the vinyl first, see what it looks like and then move to a paint job if i don't like it.

Anyone know of a good paint shop that is looking for little jobs? I have a 09 WRX and there is a chrome strip on the rear of the car and also on the windows that I would like to get painted. Also, I'd be interested in looking at vinyl if anyone is aware of someone local. Thanks.

Anyone on here know of a good source of getting vinyl cut in town? or I guess over the internet? iwashmycar mentioned the place in CA, but I was curious if there was something closer. OH8STi, the 0-60 time for the 09 wasn't just done by car and driver....it's all over the internet from multiple sources.

Nope, car and driver, etc told me that. Haven't had it at the track yet though to confirm.

I agree with your opinion on the 08, it had 225 hp (not sure on the torque), Subaru heard the complaints and put the STI size turbo in for the 09. 09 has 265 hp/244tq. depending on what publication you read, the 09 wrx will do 4.7sec 0-60. 09 WRX is actually faster than the 08 STI (i'd be mad) Got the 09 WRX for $24,500. Not too shabby.

I like the vinyl idea, that would be much easier. SPT also sells a carbon fiber option...although I kind of like the idea of having one color...

To date I have a CAI and BOV.....nothing too drastic. Next plan is to get a CBE, and possibly a tune. Not sure if I will do much more than that. Does anyone know a good paint shop in town? I hate the crome strip on the back of the car and would like to paint it the same color as the car. Thanks for the help and great to meet everyone!
