Its a 359 cu in sbf, naturally aspirated, set up for NMRA Hot Street backed by a glide and a 9" ford. The drivetrain is set up for racing, and would need some work to make it half way reliable on the street. Its 16:1 compression right now.

Thanks!

Actually, no. I haven't done that since it was a four cylinder. I have thought about though this year. It's been languishing in the garage for a couple of years now, and I need to do something with it or sell it... and I don't like the sounds of the sell option.

Hey guys (...and gals). My name is Dan. I've been drag racing since I was 16, and now I'm 34... so I guess you can say that i'm truly an addict by now. Anyway, I've heard about this site and wanted to check it out.
Here are a few shots of my Stang. Can't wait to meet you guys.

Yea, not a misprint. I run VP C25 race gas. Certainly wouldn't want to spray it. I've heard of people up to 18:1, but typically 15.5:1 to 16.5:1 is the sweet spot with todays gasoline. They just start making less power after that. I'm sure it has to do with detonation, and I guess when it comes to compression, it is the more the merrier until you hit the point of detonation.
I live up off of Home Rd. on the northern edge of Powell. I grew up closer to the city, and I miss it, but it is quiet up here.
