  1. Go to court, and chances are, the prosecutor will likely plead your ticket down to just court costs and no points. They know people show up to court to try and keep their license clean. If you go as far as standing before the judge, just request to plead no contest in exchange for points dropping off. Did it about 3-4 times and worked every time. I am an automotive technician and points are frowned upon by employers
  2. Logan is the man! Do yourself a favor though, and get rid of the haltech if its anything other than their platinum line. The older standalones they produced are an absolute fucking nightmare. There's a reason people called them Helltech. They are very slow to take changes when tuning real time if they take them at all. They'll arbitrarily crash and shut your car down while tuning, and are extremely picky about which cable you use & computer. I don't know how a cable can possibly make a difference, but it does. You also have to know Australian :fuuuu:
  3. I am moving in a month to Colorado and don't want to bring another car with me, so I am parting with it. These cars are so much fun, I considered selling my EvoX and keeping the SRT. It runs perfect. The interior is in phenomenal shape-no tears in the seats. The A/C blows cold, but it cycles a lot, so likely low on refrigerant. Body is in fantastic shape for the miles, small rust spot on front edge of hood, that's about it. The shocks need to be replaced, and the transmission has the common 3rd gear issue where it sometimes wont engage all of the way and pop out. A few companies offer a product that fixes it without having to remove the transmission, I just don't have time to dick around with it and honestly it wont do it if you shift consciously. I am pretty firm on 4500. Here is the ad. Let me know you're from CR if you contact me. http://columbus.craigslist.org/cto/3887639713.html

Forgot to add, it has a 16psi wastegate, mopar bov spacer, aem cold air intake, kicker stereo, and a fresh (reman) battery. Rotors can stand to be machined as well, has a brake pulsation

  4. Sorry for the late reply. I am holding onto the Focus for Jesse until the new radio comes in. The one in it has a bad cd player. I had to put an o2 sensor, rear wheel speed tone ring, windshield, spark plugs. The rear bumper has a crack on top of it from a fatty standing on it. If Jesse decides not to pick it up, I'll extend the offer I gave to him, for anyone else which is $4800. I will update once I know anything :) Thanks for all of the interest.

Nobody wants a sweet G6 GTP?! lol! I'd let it go for a quick sale of $5000 bux! Might be moving to Colorado. Put an occupant sensor in the seat, sell it on Autotrader for 8k.

  5. I figured it would be less clutter to throw the 2 cars in one post. I bought both needing work, and have most or all of the work needed. Contact me via p/m if you're interested, want more info, want to see the car, etc.

06 Pontiac G6 3.9l GTP 6-speed manual with 111k miles. I put an engine in this one. I replaced the coolant crossover pipe gaskets and oil filter housing gasket (VERY common problems). I have been driving it around, there are no check engine lights and the air conditioning will freeze your balls off. There is an airbag light on though. The passenger presence module got wet and set the code. It either needs to be re-zeroed or replaced. I do not have a tech-2 so am unable to try. I am setting the price with worst case scenario in mind. I am asking sold

  6. I picked this truck up because I have been trying to acquire a tow rig, but I think I am in a little bit over my head. I have never had to work on a diesel in my 12 year automotive career so I know nothing about them other than what I read on forums. The truck is in really solid shape for its age. It does not smoke at all, the turbo spools up nicely, 4x4 engages. I have started it when its 20degrees out and 68degrees out. When its colder, it has to crank a few seconds longer. It has an Edge programmer, although it is not hooked up. I drove it home, so it does alright on the highway. The prev owner says it will shut off once in awhile while driving. I pulled codes p0603 and p1211. To me, it feels like an injector is going out too, but I don't know for sure. There is no excessive blow-bye. The odometer has 241k miles on it.

Also, its obviously lifted, has okay tires on it (5-6/32nds), has a tonneau cover and spare tire. There is no rot on the body, but there is surface rusting along the bottom sides. It is still VERY solid, even the cab corners. The Tailgate is junk though. The bed does have a plastic liner. Interior has a rubber mat for carpet, manual windows and locks. Does have a nice cd player and subwoofers in a snug fitting enclosure behind the rear seats. Pretty sure those are fake beadlocks too :lolguy:

They go regularly 11k-14k with similar miles and features. So $9,000 sounds about right since it needs attention. Thanks for not hating.

  7. Since its a Neon, I would check your radiator, Trans fluid, and your coolant reservoir for purple milkshake. The radiators on the Neons are garbage. The transmission cooler is integrated into the radiator and they rot from the inside, allowing coolant and transmission fluid to mix, making the fluid look like a strawberry milkshake. once water is in the transmission, its pretty much done.

If none of that is the case, I would go for the solenoid pack as well, and a fresh trans filter/fluid change. BTW, if you need a new transmission, this is probably the easiest one in the world to change

  8. This, no refund... no 0% interest loan to the .gov.

I get what you're saying, but say your return is 2k dollars. How much interest would you make in a good investment off of 2000 dollars anyways? Also, I had 2 dif employers, and set my deductions up EXACTLY the same. Why did I owe for one employer, and not the other? I was only at the job for 1 month that I ended up owing on, to the tune of like 200 dollars
