Got her out to the track on friday. Was my first time ever doing burnouts and launching anything, and also driving on slicks. I was given a used set of mickey thompson 26x8.5 slicks from a friend at work. Best pass of the night was an 11.89 at 117.3mph. I was happy with the results. Think there is a little more in it with some more seat time. http://i676.photobucket.com/albums/vv127/justonecam/Notch024.jpg

Love this thing! GLWS! Saw the vid you posted beginning of the year and this thing definitely rolls out. I don't see it lasting very long at that price!

HCIE T/A 423whp

It is a blast to drive. Having so much fun with it. Thank you. Yeah it was pretty close, T/A is pretty much stock, has an exhaust. Cobalt is tuned and has a downpipe.
-
Moar... Enjoy

Yeah it is a blast so far. Def beats the honda lol. The paint is shitty but it makes it kinda fun, no one expects anything from it! It was an original 5.0 car, had subframe connectors already when I got it. 2.3 badge is on there to mess with some people :lolguy: Give it some time, after you pull some bus lengths on me I will know it's time.

Posted a video of dyno and a pull with my buddies camaro, but figured I would update this thread. The car is up and running, and tuned. It's been a blast so far and no major problems. :fuckyeah: It made 401whp/350tq on a mustang dyno. I am happy with the results and just having fun with it. The faded paint and 2.3 badges get me a lot of wtf looks after I pull on people. Love it!

I see what you did there. And it put down 401whp 350 tq, same exact number as camaro, but he had more torque. I swapped an ls1 from an 04 gto in it :gabe: Same cam as the camaro, same exact power too haha.

I just went to junk yard, paid 2 dollars and some change, some paint and they will be good to go.
-
I dunno, $60 bucks? I just did an input shaft bearing on it last year, and then it sat there lol. Decided to buy a built trans with lsd. Never had any problems with it, just the bearing started to get noisy, but I already replaced it.
-
I have one but I am in Cleveland.
-
Thanks guys, can't wait to drive it, it's so close! :masturboy:
-
Don't know how to embed but some idle action.
-
I'm from the Cleveland area, I will be there. Should have my lsx notch out.

Well, I tried starting it for the first time yesterday, and she fired up! :fuckyeah: Only stays running for a few seconds, not sure if it gets flooded from the bigger injectors or cause all the emissions bs is still in the computer, but what a relief when it started up! Will hopefully be getting driveshaft done sometime this week and also my clutch pedal to the master cylinder. Get a base tune next weekend and cruise around until the clutch is broken in. Vids to come! Edit: Realized yesterday doesn't stay running because the VATS, duh. Will have those disabled this weekend hopefully, and in the meantime get my clutch pedal and driveshaft done.

Well since you don't have ps or ac you can run whatever mani you want. Ramhorns are awesome, they look sweet and make the most power up top. You could also go with a mini ram, spools up a little faster but may lose some power. I got an rc autoworks mini ram and it was awesome, quality work. Make sure you don't get china ebay crap, will crack every day, ask me how I know.

Find a cheap z6 and build that with some eagle rods. Vitara's are awesome pistons for the price, ran 25ish psi on them for a while. Pulled hard.
-
Got my vote. Mods on vette? Sick picture, blue ta one was good too.
-
Thank you thank you. :gabe:
-
Well I already put a cam in it and gto's came with the ls6 intake. So with the long tubes and that stuff I should be right around 400whp. I figured that should be fun enough for a while in this chassis.
-
Yeah oh well, haters gonna hate. Thank you Yeah I saw that but it is expensive. I have maybe 60 dollars into how I am going to run mine lol. Thank you and I hope to get it done asap. Hopefully there will be another cbus and clev meet this year.

What's up guys? I decided to get rid of my turbo civic at the beginning of the year and start a new project. I picked up an 87 mustang. Lucky for me it already had aje kmember for lsx, front coil overs, cc plates, walbro 255, 8.8 rear with 3.73's. Paint is not the best but the body is pretty clean. Looks aren't everything to me. http://i676.photobucket.com/albums/vv127/justonecam/Notch002.jpg http://i676.photobucket.com/albums/vv127/justonecam/Notch001.jpg I then picked up a complete ls1/t56 drop out from an 04 gto. It now has an fbody oil pan, power steering and ac delete. Oh and a small cam. :gabe: http://i676.photobucket.com/albums/vv127/justonecam/bW1jMS9EQ0lNLzEwMExHRENGL0ltYWdlMDEwOTIwMTIwOTMyNTguanBn.jpg I just got the motor in last weekend. Lots of stuff to get done still such as wiring(main thing that will take a while) install radiator and hoses, driveshaft, exhaust, clutch pedal to master, fuel lines, and I am sure I will run into more. http://i676.photobucket.com/albums/vv127/justonecam/Notch011.jpg http://i676.photobucket.com/albums/vv127/justonecam/Notch012.jpg I went with dynatech long tubes. Had some fitment issues with the steering shaft so I just had my brother make one up for me. Still very close to brake lines so I will have to move those around. I have the dash ripped out to replace the heater core and try to figure out some of the wiring. http://i676.photobucket.com/albums/vv127/justonecam/Notch013.jpg Made a plate to mount the master cylinder where the harness used to come through for ford starter. Still have to weld a piece off of the pedal to attach it. http://i676.photobucket.com/albums/vv127/justonecam/Notch015.jpg http://i676.photobucket.com/albums/vv127/justonecam/Notch016.jpg Hacked up the center console for the trans to fit. I still had the gto shifter on when dropping it in and forgot it sits back about 3-4 inches farther than an fbody. So I removed that and am looking to find a cheap stock fbody shifter to put on to bring it back forward. http://i676.photobucket.com/albums/vv127/justonecam/Notch014.jpg That's all I have for now. Hope to get some more stuff done this weekend, hard to find time between classes and work.

This place is like 5 minutes from my house, actually have pretty good burgers. I have not tried their wieners though... http://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash4/s320x320/423646_288919887846462_100001853600059_691642_1327192567_n.jpg
