  1. Just got a 2010 F150 with Nav and when I choose Walnut Street downtown Cincinnati, it finds Walnut Street just east of 75 between exits 8 and 9 in Elmwood. You can't select by zip. Any ideas and I've RTFM twice!
  2. For those in Dayton, Dealers Choice in Centerville on RT48 opposite the new Kroger Marketplace. Tony is a magician and has pulled out some great dents for me. He's also used by local car dealerships. http://www.dealerschoice1.com/
  3. +1, I ran with them twice last year in Red Group, passing anywhere without a point. Did 376 track miles at VIR in under a day and a half. Had to leave as I was out of tires. No problem getting in 200 miles a day!
  4. Thanks Nate, I'll do some research on that.
  5. Greg, it's a great event. I've run with them several times but I wanted to try a new track and didn't want to do back to back weekends. You'll have a great time with the OVR PCA.
  6. Went with the VAC Kit and Oil Pump Nut. Please let me know why you suggest pulling the VANOS. Thanks...
  7. As I'm dropping everything it will be the opportune time to do the oil pan baffles. Any real life experience on BimmerWorld/VAC versus Turner in effectiveness and ease of installation? Any other suggestions while I'm in there? Thanks... Richard...
  8. Looking at Bimmerworld, Turner, and VAC for solid mounts for 100% track dedicated 95 E36 M3. Any real life pros and cons. Thanks...
  9. Kyle, not yet but based on past experience somewhere between $350 and $395.
  10. Autobahn will be on Motorsportreg in a few weeks. Looks like I'll be instructing there. Any takers?
  11. If Autobahn falls through I'll do Mid Ohio April 20 with the OVR PCA. See http://www.clubregistration.net/driver/event_sign_up.cfm?event_id=3858 If you haven't already signed up for Motorsportreg and Clubregistration please do so at http://www.motorsportreg.com/ and http://www.clubregistration.net It's free and you'll find many events there. Also check out 1010ths at http://www.1010thsmotorsports.com for a local Cincinnati group that runs great track events with lots of track time and open passing with no point in the Red Group.
  12. Looking into doing Autobahn on April 27-29 with the Windy City BMWCCA. It's a 3 day event if you qualify for Friday so I'm looking at what qualifications you need. See http://www.windycitybmw.com/Calendar/EventDetails.aspx?Id=66 Not much info yet but I'll post registration details as soon as I find them. I've two others who will go too if we can drive Friday. Edit: Friday is Full Track and Sat/Sun is South Track.
  13. Kyle, you'll also need a different pad in addition to better fluid. Look into Hawk HT-10, PFC-06 etc. starting off. Not cheap but a significant performance and SAFETY factor.
  14. Thanks Andy, I'll look into it. Kale, have we met at Mid Ohio? Your car looks familiar. I had a turbo charged Miata blow it's engine in front of me last year coming up over the blind left-hander just past the Honda bridge (T10A). It spewed oil all over the place and I ended up in the sand on the left before the right into Thunder Valley watching 5 cars slide by me. I was sure I was toast. Go to 1min 40 and watch. I'm the white car on the right and the blue Miata is on the left. The video pauses with the cars circled.
  15. Kyle, you are correct. I forgot that was after the 71 drive by. Showing my short term memory loss here...
  16. No trade ;-) I'm running a Blanton 3.64 40/60, static lock at 60 lbs/ft, with 5x90mm 4130 ceramic discs and plates. Best mod ever on my car. Thanks for the offer on the clutch but I'm all set.
  17. Rich, a clutch issue. Mine is the ClutchMasters Stage II Kevlar. Pretty sure I didn't break it in properly two years ago. Had issues at RA on the uphill sections. Looking into a rebuild with organic. JB Racing have a plan for me and my buddy in Cincy will use his home shop for the rebuild. All is good. How's the Dakar Yellow coming along? My friends garage. http://i1095.photobucket.com/albums/i479/rjhayes/IMG_4606Large.jpg
  18. Kyle, I'm working on my schedule and yes I'll let you know my next instructing trip to Mid Ohio. Last time I saw you was towing my car back from Nelson Ledges on 71 South ;-) Keep your car as clean as it was that day...
  19. Guy's, I instruct for the Buckeye and Northern Ohio BMW chapters as well as the Hoosier IN, Bluegrass KY, Badger WI, and the MOR PCA, so if you're not sure about tracking, show up at an event I'm at and I'll take you out for a ride. Be sure and bring a helmet. Several members here have already ridden with me. http://i1095.photobucket.com/albums/i479/rjhayes/Richard3.jpg
  20. Do many on this forum track their cars? Looking to make some road trips to Watkins Glen, VIR, and Road America this season with such groups as BMWCCA, PCA, 1010ths, CHIN etc. and wanted to gauge interest as road trips are way more fun with a group. Regards... Richard...
  21. Opened a Photobucket Account... AudiOn19s, yes, we did meet and I recall you got your car fixed.
  22. I'm a track enthusiast who did 30 days last year in his 95 E36 M3. Went to Barber, VIR, Mid Ohio, Putnam Park, Nelson Ledges, and Road America. Looking to meet, and get more people involved in track days, with such groups as BMWCCA, PCA, 1010ths, CHIN, NASA etc. http://i1095.photobucket.com/albums/i479/rjhayes/Richard3.jpg http://i1095.photobucket.com/albums/i479/rjhayes/Timmayfest1.jpg http://i1095.photobucket.com/albums/i479/rjhayes/IrishM5.jpg http://i1095.photobucket.com/albums/i479/rjhayes/IMG_4337Large.jpg http://i1095.photobucket.com/albums/i479/rjhayes/IMG_4335Large.jpg Richard...
