Up for sale is my 2000 VW GTI VR6. The car has 230k on the clock, but still runs like a champ. Just drove to Cincinnati and back last weekend. Tires are in great shape. The Good: New battery, plugs, wires, struts, front wheel bearings, and tensioner pulley. The Bad: 1 tear in the drivers seat, the seat warmers do not work, the A/C needs a recharge, and there is a little rust starting for form where the bottom corner of the door meets the body. One more question, I keep seeing the 95 Civic HF, and the 96 VX come up in mpg conversations. Any Honda guys able to get me straight about what makes these two models so special?

I think I have enough ideas to go get my car now. I will restart this thread when I get a car and start modding it. To craigslist I go (unless anyone is in the market to sell me an older civic lol?) And dont worry about me driving like a tool, the whole point of this project is to see if 50+ mpg's is feasible on the cheep, and does not cut into normal life.
