I had to flake out last week due to the kiddos sports, so I'm aiming to make it tomorrow.
One last shot at 9s for the year :gabe:
You got This Jordan! Tell Bill to add a little more timing and let her eat...Weather will be perfect.
-
Track seemed to work pretty well for me, didnt make too many passes but still managed a 1.501 60'. Thats the quickest 60' my car has made
Nice job! enjoyed talking to you. You will get that 9.5 soon just a few more tweaks.
-
Scott, I apologize if you think I hijacked a thread...I mentioned a few times that I still had a good time and CR staff was great
As far as the driving aspect yes I was disappointed, and rightfully so...you can call it GTR first world problems all you want but I guarantee if you were in this situation you would feel the same way.
I made the mistake of thinking the event coordinating group had some control over tech and what rules would be strictly enforced...that seems to be the common variable at most private rentals. My Bad. ( this is why the streets are becoming more and more popular)
The event was a good time, thank all the staff that put it together.
-
Maybe so Jones..lol
in all fairness I was on the brakes pretty hard 2 straight passes, Im sure my rotors were getting pretty hot and I did have my front end shift slightly on the second one...but I was never out of control and I just wanted to follow the rules.
It comes down to this: They let some guy's break the rules and not others...I'm not going to point anybody out but I know my car is much safer at 150mph than some of the others that were running 100mph. If they want to stretch the rules they should do it for everybody.
-
Thank you! The pictures look great.

I understand...it was still a good time and hanging out was the best part anyway.
I am not an experienced drag racer ( only 3rd time) so I learned allot if nothing else.
-
thank you I did not know you reached out to them...
But just to set the record straight....here is how it went down.
1st pass yes my Tuner made a pass (fresh build wanted to see how car responded) 9.7 149 he was stopped and told he needed to slow down)
next two passes I ran the car to the just before the 1000' mark and hit the brakes so I wouldn't get kicked out, he stopped me the second time and told me to quit hitting the brakes on the track.. in a rude way.
so my last time out I ran to the 1000' mark and coasted 9.6 142 the pulled me over again and proceeded to chew my ass like I was some little kid...told me I was done and gave me a lecture on track safety.
so as you can see I did everything they asked but nothing was going to make them happy.
BTW this is what I was I told I needed
NHRA license
full cage
chute
full drivers suite
fire bottle
NHRA approved harness
so with that being said...it is what it is, my car is not a full time drag car its a street car, I know other tracks have no issue but this guy was a jerk!
Nice hanging out with you too Jones! your car is badass bro.

I had a great time hanging out...all the CR staff was cool as hell, and the food was very good..
The track sucked...blame it on the rain or whatever but there was no prep whatsoever, this was somewhat disappointing, as was the asshole sitting in the truck at the end of the track.
Rules are rules I get it...but getting kicked out for no good reason sucked...I wish the CR staff would have stepped in and assisted me on resolving my problem with this idiot...but what's done is done...
Thanks for a good time!

I got dibs on Dave (DKilbourne) if he makes it.
Your car is better suited to race the cars that are pulling their front wheels in their avatars
That's the big mystery....last year the best I could rattle off was a 10.3 at 134mph....I better be better this year! Or I wasted a shitload of $$$$ lol
Alright Jordan...I'll try to move up and probably get smoked, just for your entertainment.

Assuming I make it, I'd like to run Godzilla.
Lets do it... should be fun, I' m game to run anybody as long as my junk stays together.
-
Yup, I've already decided to stop at a FBO E85 car. More than enough for me, while being reliable, streetable, and able to tackle anything but the Steve Prices's of the world.
FBO E85 will be a blast...Have you already decided and made reservations for zdayz? I went last year and had a blast. I found a new appreciation for the GTR driving the Dragon several times.

Welcome to the GTR family...get with Jordan so the modding can begin. Your going to want an Ecutek tune and mid pipe at minimum... Night and day difference.
-
This event is going to be epic... a few of us were talking and think we will see 195mph from the big boys. Can't wait to find out.

I just bought a service van from Jordan at Jett Auto...Great experience and really cool guy. Really clean cars on the lot, I was impressed.
BTW Jordan I received the hitch today just like you promised!

After the run the GTR owner found a hole in a charge pipe coupler the size of a quarter.
So, it was nowhere near 1300hp during that run.
That is a fact Jordan, I was at FL2K and watched it all go down, Jason's car (GTR) did blow a hole in the charge pipe, the next day we tried everything to rig up a fix...with no luck.
BTW the MR2 never made another run, that night at the hotel they believe they blew a head gasket.
Also that GTR is close to 1300, he has run a 8.6@ 170
Here is a pic of the coupler we tried to make work.

Hello Everybody,
I heard about this forum from my buddy 2hipsi..thanks Jordan!
My name is Doug, I live in Beavercreek and am a huge car fan, I have always wanted a Roush Mustang, someday in the future I will pick one up but until then here are my toys.
I currently have a 2012 F-250 (lifted 6") and a 2009 Nissan GTR...It is currently in Miami Fl. getting some upgrades done at a shop called "Fab Shop Miami"
The last time I drove her she was making about 585 to the wheels with some simple bolt on's
I ran this summer at Kilkare and ran a best of 10.3 at 137 but hoping to be much faster when I get her back next month.
looking forward to reading about everybody's rides and doing some meets with other car enthusiast in Ohio.
Here is some pics.
