  1. Jesse, without me Googling an article for insight....I am curious with that much going towards qualified (retirement) investment, why not max out the 401(k) pre-tax first? Is it the investments in the Roth that are more attractive to you?

I am assuming Roth is more attractive because he plans to be in a higher tax bracket at retirement , if this is not true he should max out his 401(k) first. Plus in a pinch, he can pull out any of his contributions penalty free( not recommended).

  2. Not in this market. The seller of our current house put a contingency that they will be find a house in 30 days or the deal is dead. They had multiple offers over asking but no one was willing to have their contingency. We offered 10k below asking and gave them 90 days to find a home and they accepted.
  3. Not to threadjack but I have stay dry waterproofing coming over today for an estimate. I have water coming into my basement walls but the walls are not bowing. I wanted to see what tile drainage around my house and pumped out to the street would cost. Anyone else in here have anyone they would recommend? I want more than one estimate.

Rogers Basement is who we used.

  4. So for you Master Traders...how about a quick "How-to"? I've seen so many websites and things for investing in crypto-currencies, at the very least it looks fun to play the market even if you don't make any money, its such a roller-coaster.

Do you have to buy an entire Coin, Ethereum, etc. or can you just invest in a percent?

Can you sell your coins/shares at anytime during the day?

I'm not even sure how to approach online trading, let alone Cryptos.

You can invest any amount of money and its coverts to a percent of a coin.

Unlike the stock market trading is 24/7. Buy and sell anytime

Coinbase is one of the most popular sites and is very easy to navigate. You have the option to purchase 3 coins Bitcoin , Ethereum ,and litecoin.

  5. IMHO, this is kinda expected. The traditional investors are pulling their money out to put in proper channels in anticipation of Bitcoin being able to trade/bet on the nasdag starting this monday. I hope I’m right. We’ll see Monday

What is the benefit of going to NASDAQ when it is being tracked now through the IRS? Or am I missing something

  6. Is is though? Where can you invest $500 and make 25% in a day? or 66% in the last week?

I thought the same thing when this thread was started but damn I could have tripled my money. It worries we seeing Bitcoin shooting up but litecoin is down 5% since yesterday, usually they follow the same pattern.

Never to late but it’s simple math. If you bought in a while back yes you can make some money. If you buy have not already your percentage of profit is going to be small and there are better ways to spend your money.

Buying $500 worth of something that costs $16k right now is not going to make you anything significant. Now if you would have bought a whole coin back when this thread started under 10k and less than 2 months later here we are a 6k profit on a 10k investment is great.

  7. This might be dumb but what platform are you buying bitcoins on? Or are you still selling the ones you mined?

If you will mainly be in Bitcoin, Litecoin and Ethereum, coinbase.com is a reasonable choice for your wallet. You want as much security as possible.

If you're considering getting into Bitcoin you may want to postpone things for another couple of weeks. Bitcoin has a hard fork coming up and even the analysts who are usually bullish on Bitcoin have been saying that it became overvalued when it hit 7600 this weekend. I liquidated 90% of my bitcoin Saturday to sit out the fork with plans to re-assess the situation after the hard fork. I hope to catch it after the adjustment. If I'm wrong and it doesn't drop, then I goofed, but I'll very likely still reinvest later this month.

BTW, if you had bought Bitcoin when I suggested on October 27, a little over a week ago, and sold on Saturday when I did, you would have earned 30% on your gamble. Just an example of the volatility of which I spoke.

  8. Wisconsin is trash. They play big 10 bottom feeders. They are over valued. As soon as they play anybody with a pulse they will lose.

Have you not looked at your schedule? You have not played a team in upper half of the conference. FFS you play Mercer in 3 weeks! Talk about a cupcake schedule.

Bama will show their true colors being able to end the season playing 4 top 15 teams prior the CFP if they hold up.

  9. I bought this on prime day and it’s awesome! I was not sold on the whole robot vacuum thing but thought this was cheap enough to try without the Roomba price tag. It is scheduled to run every day at 8:15 am and will return home when it is finished. I have 2 cats and an English bulldog that shed all the time and does not have issues. We also have steps in the downstairs and it has drop detection so it doesn’t tumble down the steps.

My mom is a clean freak, she put a whole vac in because she vacuums everyday.(says it’s a stress reliever) I took it over one day to test compared to her home vac and it filled the half way and she just vacuumed an hour before, she has no pets btw.

  10. did you install it yourself?

It is very simple. They give you instructions or you can watch the video online. Simply use the cut out given and cut between two studs (do not need to cut studs) place damper box over opening. (screw into studs and install grill cover). Make a 90 degree bend with the duct and hang from rafters and hook up electric. It took my about 3-4 hours total. I had some issues fishing the wire down the wall for the controls.

I have a ~1900 sqft house and purchased the CL-4700 as I plan on moving in the next 5-6 years. I wanted purchase the ES-4700 but couldn't justify the price difference (~10 year ROI). I really liked that you could wire the ES motor to have a LOW-MED-HIGH (even though they don't mention it), it is the same motor the PRO series.

  11. Any thoughts on Mr tint?

If you can get a hold of them, I tried calling randomly for a couple days and no one ever answered. They seemed to be priced similar to others. On a side note I have drove by numerous times and have seen them tinting a car with their garage door up , which makes me worry about debris between the window.

  12. Is Quality still quality? They did a great job back in the day on my cars. More accessible side of town too, but I don't even know if they still exist lol

What about Auto Options near Clintonville. Be nice to get good work that close to my house

I just got my car tinted at Quality last month, tint turned out prefect. Yes, it’s in a shady location but never had any issues with the 4 cars I've sent there.

It's a chance that I was willing to take. RAD removed over 50% of their debt with this deal and now management needs to show they can bring in some positive earning.ER came in with a net loss of 75 million, which was higher than expected. RAD CEO pretty much screwed the shareholders by saying last week things are looking good for the merger then having another deal in place. RAD is still sitting well for a buyout just 1-2 years out now.

  14. What are everyone’s thoughts on Rite-Aid (RAD)?

The FTC has to make a decision about the merger with Walgreen's by July 7. The FTC only has 2 commissioners currently on the board which means a unanimous decision is needed; a split decision allows the merger to go through. Humana is fighting back against the FTC to get paperwork requested by the 26th.

I am looking back prior to the announcement in October 2015 and think this stock is a no-brainer regardless of the outcome of this decision. It is still trading lower than pre-merger announcement.
