  1. I am in need of a couple of rear parking brake motors for a 2006 VW Passat 3.6L 4-Motion. It could also be the caliper assemblies if that's easier to find. Does anyone have these available? Used is ok. Are the FWD 3.6L same year the same? Thanks!
  2. Tried to reply PM but you are setup NOT to receive any. Here is my reply:

No need to pay, it only take a few minutes to do this. Are you available on Saturday around 11:00am? We can meet at Ronin Training Center in Grandview after I am done with class. I'll bring my laptop and Micro-CAN.

  3. My Passat did that near the end of its life: instead of going to zero instant MPG when I was coasting in neutral, it would re-calculate for 200+MPG. Obviously had a small effect on the average fuel economy numbers.

Glad to see someone else's Passat with that "feature"...I thought it was odd how it started doing that.

so you saying my Passy will die soon  Sure doesn't feel like it. VCDSing it tonight just for fun.

  4. The dual / dual tailpipes look really nice - I will go that route at some point but have other things first - wheels/lower/cold air and probably another tune. I don't know why I want it to hit 500 RWHP -I don't need it - but still may try to get it there with Brian Turner magic.

because its more fun to drive around

  5. How does that Blackfire stand up to Zaino? I've used zaino for years and it always lasted at least a year before it was stripped off. I've used over the counter polishes/sealants and they came off the car within two washes.

Used Zanio for years until I tried BlackFire Diamond. Then I tried BlackFire BlackIce and forgot about the Diamond sealant. I detail the car twice a year and it stays shiny and clean longer, and water just beads up and runs.

  6. Non resonated downpipe or simply replacing the resonator with an x-pipe set up really seems to give it a good sound under load. My only huge concern is interior sound and reverb.

Likely going to leave it stock.

It drones at certain rpm range. This is vehicle dependent and each will act with slight variation but the consensus is that it drones somewhere between 2k-35k rpm. If you don't mind it go for it. Also getting piggy pipes to rid off the pre-cats helps keeping the engine bay a bit cooler which may/may not translate into extra power but drones even more. My co-worker and I went through this whole deal with his S4 and he ended with piggy pipes and Milltek cat-back, sound is perfect!

They do make a bad-ass sounding exhaust for the S4, but they are $2,100-$3,800 proud of that sound. :zoom:

If you google for 10min you can find it for under $1400 shipped (cat-back resonated).
