  1. MOUNT ONLY, SCOPE NOT FOR SALE. So this isn't going to work with my setup and I just ordered a taller mount. Anyone want this one? Only thing I did was mount it on the rifle, never even fired with it. 30mm tube diameter, tactical levers. $150 obo, cash only. Pickup in Sunbury.

  2. we went there over the summer and it was obvious it was on its way out... the place was TORE UP... and the employees seemed to care even less than they normally did.

That was our experience the last time we went, about 3 or 4 years ago.

  3. ah, you should get a Prius Prime, but I doubt the supply will get to the point where you can have your pick of color/options. Less money on gas means more money for Hawaii and points further (Europe, China, etc)

Get a credit card that earns miles + buy a car with a big V8 and use credit card for gas = profit

  4. The LS swap on my IROC should be done in a month or so and then my plans are to absolutely drive the wheels off of that car. It has been about 30 years since I daily drove a 3rd gen in the summer and I am hoping this is the year that I will start doing that again. I also am hoping to get to a bunch of shows with one of the Camaro's and really enjoy them as they have pretty much been garage art for the last few years!

  5. 1. Might try to sell the Z/28 at some point.

    2. Wait and see what the Mustang S650 looks like and what the engine options are. I'm not ready to make the full EV jump (and don't want it at all for a fun car) but wouldn't mind a V8 to mod with front drive elec assist.

    3. If the S650 sucks, giving a lot of thought to custom ordering a 2023 Challenger Redeye or whatever they offer for next year, since they are dumping the Hellcat motor in 2024.

  6. HB 197 went into place sometime in 2020 to prevent remote workers from seeking a refund from the locality where they worked, prior to covid. It basically locked you in to keep paying taxes at the address of your employer.

Fast forward to about May/June 2021, HB 157 blew a hole in that and now allows workers to declare themselves remote, retroactive to 2021.

Anyone going to claim a refund? Funny because the city of cbus tax site has reference to HB 197 and a statement about not issuing refunds for 2020, but no reference to HB 157 which essentially nullifies 197.

I filed for a refund from crappy Westerville and was denied earlier this year. So I can reapply and get my money back for WFH?

  7. I'm hoping that when they have to dump a bunch of cars that have been sitting for a long time that they offer some super cheap leases to get them on the road. I wouldn't mind a Chevy Bolt as a cheap commuter and just before the stop-sale you could get them for $107/month...now they've been sitting another ~6 months.

I'd love to think we could score some cheap deals on new cars when things open up more, but I just can't see manufacturers being stupid enough to flood the market and tank prices. Also, I could realistically see the manufacturers convincing the govt to buy/bailout all those nasty ICE cars they made and can't flood the market with to really push EVs.

  8. It's a shitty time to buy a car right now, new or used. Everything is so fucked. Is it even possible to get a "good deal" on a car anymore? Or is this new artificial inflation truly permanent and we all need to adjust our expectations?

IMHO, I think inflation is only going to get worse. And interest rates will rise to combat it. So it'll get worse regardless. How the true price of vehicles correlates with the price of everything else going forward, don't know. You have so many different forces at work... inflation, changing interest rates, "chip shortage", people not working, supply chain issues, trouble with China, hundreds of thousands of cars already built waiting for electronics, then a big EV wave is supposedly coming in 2024.
