Dude, blanket statements like that are well, dumb. SW Licking wants a 6.something mil levy. I won't go into details about what that means out of my pocket, but it's more than a mortgage payment. On top of all the other taxes I ALREADY PAY to the school.

My wife and I were discussing this idea tonight. Anyone else, group, society ever think of this...? Everyone gets 1 point when they turn 18. You earn 1 point for every 5 years you work and pay taxes. You earn 1 point for military service. You earn 1 point for x number of community service hours per year. You earn 1 point per kid that you support, limit 2. You earn 1 point for finishing school. or, something along these lines. The idea being that people that contribute to the good of America get more weight in elections. Fair? Unfair? Why?

I think everyone should watch the Frontline special on the 2 candidates at least once before voting. It is on now and repeated at 1am.

That was my first thought also. The only scenario I thought of was if someone on the fence was watching a McCain-endorsed anti-Obama commercial this evening, and thought to themselves, "McCain bastards picking on a guy who lost his grandma...". As most people, I feel bad for him, but it changes my vote 0%
