a buddy, the Wife and I will be around the same area tomorrow about the same time.. and stopping in Mcconnelsville as well at somepoint then heading further down 78 and back.. say whats up if you see 2 white ducs and a CBR
Joe just has a hard on for Dan.. all his pics are of him... btw being as fast as a 1098 on the straights is damn right I had a heck of a time getting the perfect drive to keep up on the front with him.. of course he does have a big bore kit full exhaust and tune on that thing... my 117hp R6 was screaming trying to catch him.. (pst) got him in the corners I talked to dan about that weekend because im going to make that jump myself to race that weekend.. he isn't really game yet.. maybe a few more days in Adv. and he will get his confidence up... his average times that day were 1:21's and the one high 1:19 (MORE than respectable..) hell I was barely averaging mid 1:19's and one 1:18:62
im a little sad it does have a single side swing arm but overall looks just like a big pani... we'll see what all feat. it will have in November.. im sure that's the base model they will do an S or a Corse with other parts. to keep the typical duc thing going... and ZX ducs don't break down like they used to .. ducati is slowly switching to more reliable means in their bikes.. such as self adjusting cam tensioners like the japs. and wet clutches... I forget who did a long term test on the pani from 2012 but they have 114k on theirs and have only done the normal stuff and the 1000 and 12k services
I personally use the Pitbull TRS for both track bikes and now the Ducs when in the trailer.. when in the truck bed I use CargoBuckles. self ratcheting tie downs and fork straps as to not pull on the bars.. this in my mind now is less than ideal but better than the alternatives
well no lies I was pitted with matt for Saturday and he did talk me into racing next Putnam series with you guys in sept. so i'll be out there that's 1 more
No offense taken, I've always rattle canned our race body work until this time.. we just decided that once, just once we wanted something sick.. Andrew fit the bill... if it goes down a sad day it will be but i'll be going to paul afterwards lol
for paul.. I can't as he has never painted any race body work for me, he did my old black gas tank and Theresa and my wheels.. for Andrew... 500- the sky is the limit... I was in the 800 range
well not spending fortune Paul 614 paintworks cant beat.. he does a great job on the basic paint jobs to keep it budget friendly I know he does some good complex designs aswell if you wanna spend a little more Andrew Swenson is amazing too but your going to pay.. Andrew does all the Riders Discount bikes plus more on the AMA grid... He did both the wifes and my bikes too
a lot of the problem with Putnam is is is very abrasive and eats tires.. as todd said.. normally this is great.. but Putnam was built as a car course first.. then motorcycles came on it.. putnm still entertains more cars than bikes.. as well as unlike mid ohio they don't every really clean the surface so rubber builds and not in the good way.. Putnam is still way better than mid ohio as far as wet grip.. but its still not to be messed with if you don't have too.. turn 4 and 8 will bite you hard in the morning with even a little cool weather looming.. but once the track is hot it never gets too hot like mid ohio ... that being said.. I;ll be there the 8/10 then again on the 8/19(Control riding that day) might be able to swing 8/24 too... not sure yet though
