In CA they paid the cops time and a half to show for court so you never got the "no-show" freebie except with the air cops sometimes. I was in court once when a cop no-showed and the judge was about to dismiss when the defendant asked what would have happened if he hadn't shown. The judge told him there'd be a warrant issued for him for FTA and the guy insisted the cop be treated the same - and the judge actually issued the warrant lol! I know, OT - sorry but I love telling that story!

My experience with air cops over the past many years lol - of course, that was all in CA so maybe it's different here but every pilot I've known would pass on court to fly without a second thought. It has been a while though, maybe they are making it mandatory to make the court dates? Or maybe the courts schedule special days for hearing air cases? Dunno.

I pay $250/year for my ZX10R with MASSIVE amounts of coverage through SF - but I'm an old fart, married, kids, mortgage and such.

You guys shouldn't complain - in CA you be paying per MONTH what you are currently paying per year...

I'd fight it - if the pilot is scheduled to fly that day he'll pass on court to get air time...

and as far as cornering i put my busa down farther than most of you R1 or Gixxer 1K riders any day of the yr ( i by no means drag knee) but its all about the rider if you cant handle the big bike stick with your 600's or your 1k ill keep with the most comfy bike ive ever riden (and done almost 200mph on you 1k boys cant say that)

It's been my experience over the past 20 years on the street that 'most' liter bike riders are more expeienced and wiser than other riders. It is a small percentage of idiots who think they know everything that make us all look bad.

My basically stock 10R can do "almost 200mph" too - and look a lot better doing it!

As for the twisties or the track, it would take a very good club racer or better to get that fat ugly pig of a motorcycle to turn with my 10R (and I don't drag knee either). You think you got what it takes? Pick a trackday and we'll do the deed.

As for the original topic, I'd take the 14 just because the Eyeabuser is so hideous to look at - I don't think there's much between them for speed/quickness.
