I disagree, I got my PC shield ($399) with night sight for cheaper than I could of bough a regular shield and added them. The PC also has a better enough trigger that I wont put an apex in. I could care less about the porting though.

I say #2 so that you still have full use of the fireplace and you'll have full control of heat from the pellet stove with the vents. Its what I plan to do when I build a house.

You should also try out a real bow if you think shooting a crossbow is fun imo shooting an actual bow is way more fun than a crossbow. Cabelas or field and stream will set one up for you to test fire just like the crossbows.
