  1. You can get a carfax on bikes, just get the vin number. Title, I dunno... Without knowing what happened to it it's hard to say, bikes don't get salvaged for no reason. It's either been wrecked, or was stolen/sold without a title and didn't pass inspection when someone tried to get a title for it. I'd say it's too expensive though, NADA lists average retail as $3,375 but it also has a salvage title, that should devalue it further especially if the seller can't tell you what happened to it.
  2. Yeah, going to take the forks off. Although if it's going to cost more than $100 or so I'll probably just do it myself, I'm planning on replacing the springs anyway. I just keep reading that getting the bolt out of the bottom can be a real pain.
  3. Hi all, I need to have some fork seals replaced on a Suzuki GS500, the dealers want $250 or so to do this with the forks off the bike. Yikes! I've done springs and oil and such but getting the seals out is more of a pain, anyone know of a non dealer shop that would do it for a more reasonable price?
