  1. I had a friend from high school that was killed in a wreck over the weekend... Am just now coming forward b/c I guess it has just been kind of weighing pretty heavy on me. Was genuinely an all around good dude. Never saw him without a smile on his face. Ex-marine who just go out a couple months ago, two tours (irag, afghanistan)... comes home and this happens.

Life is short guys.. don't take a second for granted.

  2. Do you honestly think anyone believes your line of shit?

What line of shit.. That my fiance, who at the time of getting pregnant and filing for assistance wasn't living with me? I really dont think that is so far fetched. We lived separately until I purchased a house, then she moved in with me. Why is it you have to be such a dick about something you know nothing about?

If he can't afford health insurance for his kid, how's he gonna afford an honest-to-god real life LAWYER?

true.. think I can get the state to pay for one if I start accepting WIC?

  3. r6, if you are going to be going through a legal system that's going to determine how much you're going to be paying out-of-pocket, you need a lawyer. Not some internet forum, a LAWYER.

I am not trying to get the forum to determine how much I am going to pay out of pocket... I was asking any forum member to inform me of the processes and what to expect based on first hand knowledge of going through it themselves.

  4. For all categories of Medicaid, eligibility is based on the amount of your household income.By your admission you live with her and your child. So long story short she lied about her residence so that the "income" levels would be lower. Hope the Fraud thing works out for you

Dont make assumptions.. I said we currently live together and that has been reported. When she started the assistance we were not living together. You wanted the change of address forms too?

  5. From the way your finances sound you probably haven't paid much more than your fair share in taxes

Okay.. and you come to this conclusion how? Because I choose to save money where I can? This must mean I am poor and am making min wage right

  6. He has a point there though. I get what you're saying.

It's worse when it's the people that never paid taxes or work.

I am just saying that I have been working for the past 13 years and have paid my taxes religiously every single year and not collected assistance in a single way. I have paid for every other dipshit to collect foodstamps, public assistance for housing, welfare, etc for the past 13 years. I have always had a job and HAVE educated myself with a college education, more than what I can say for a lot of people out there.

Whatever floats your boat. If you don't use your total WIC allowance I will buy the rest off of you for $.70 on the dollar

FYI, WIC is something completely separate from Insurance and I dont get it. I could, but don't.

  7. First of all I don't think I should be considered the dipshit, obviously I know when to pull out.

Obviously you need to get a better education or skill set so that you can afford to pay for your child's health insurance.

The problem with American society is that people are no longer ashamed to be on public assistance. You should visit a doctor since you have balls so big that you came on to a public forum and admit that you would rather have the government provide for you child than do it yourself.

Yes you are a deadbeat, some have confirmed it with their responses others have left me positive feedback for my comments.

Positive feedback for a comment doesnt mean you aren't a dipshit, just means there are more than one of you.

And I don't mind admitting that I would rather the government pay for health care that would cost more me more than triple what it is costing them. Fuck it, I pay the taxes too, let it benefit me for once.

  8. Or man up to your responsibilities, do you want us to send you money directly?

Obviously you didn't read anything posted originally, so I am not going to address you being a dipshit. I quoted the important parts for you this time so that you don't get too confused and skip straight to the response of quite being a dead-beat dad.

... I am fine with having to pay it, mostly b/c me paying for support and him being able to receive full insurance is worth it to me, contrary to him going on my insurance which is ridiculously expensive and doesn't cover much.... Not sure what to expect. Am sure someone here has dealt with it. Anything good to know ahead of time?
Anyone else disturbed by how quickly the responses went south. He asked "what to expect" not "how do I get out of paying" or "why should I have to pay".

    w/e

Yea, maybe we both missed something

correct! $10 says they push back the wedding so that she can start or keep collecting WIC

    See above..

    Sense, this thread makes none..

What needs to be clarified? I am asking how the process works for people who have gone through Child Support hearings.

Been and done this. If the child is receiving assistance your support will go toward offsetting his benefit. You will pay support plus insurance.

Oh by the way in your papers it probably says you need not show up this is a desk review. It will be sent through the court system after they figure what they want you to pay. Once they decide you may owe back support from the date papers are filed. I was behind $1000 by the time the figured it till it was made official.

If the child is handicapped this will also offset any federal benefit child may receive.

Or get married you won't pay support but you both combined may make too much for assistance.

My child receives all but two dollars a week that I pay in. And the insurance that I pay to the state is much cheaper than here at work. 85 a month compared to 170 a week. I DO NOT complain about what my child gets from me he deserves every penny. It's not his fault his mother and I don't get along.

It's tough being a young parent without a career. Hang in there.

    Finally, a real answer. Thanks

  9. My fiance and I had our baby last November. We are still together and live together but since we are not married yet, and my son is receiving health insurance from the State, I am being forced to pay child support. I am fine with having to pay it, mostly b/c me paying for support and him being able to receive full insurance is worth it to me, contrary to him going on my insurance which is ridiculously expensive and doesn't cover much.

Anyway, I have the hearing at the child support office this Friday. Not sure what to expect. Am sure someone here has dealt with it. Anything good to know ahead of time?

  11. I just noticed.

You say your lady backed it into a van.

And the Jeep has reverse sensors.

    Wat.

On the side note, very sharp Jeep!

Yeah... do you think I asked that question to her as well when I got that phone call? lol

If you see the pictures, the sensors were pretty covered with salt from the roads at the time.. Which was my fault I am sure :)

it must be a jeep thing and i don't understand but how is a coil spacer classified as a suspension lift more like a body lift. It looks good especially like the wheels.

Yea I agree, it is just how they classify it since technically there are no real body mounts, unlike a Wrangler. IMO, it is a body lift as well since the springs weren't replace. BUT on the good side, the lift didn't affect the smooth factory ride nor did it affect any of the drive-train angles which cause unnecessary wear which I loved :D

As an update, the tail-light is ordered and being replaced this week. Oil and filter was just changed (synthetic as always) and I am planning on detailing it this week.

  12. I am up around Magnetic Springs, 15 minutes from you.. I might have one, let me check tonight. I know I have one that I bought and have been using for burning but I think I found another out in the barn. Will sell it if I have it still.
