I don't think the US military exists to serve POTUS. Plus we don't live in a country with a totalitarian mindset. I don't believe many service men and women would take up arms against US citizens. If anything there will be Chaos and massive desertion in the US military.

Winters, if you are going to use the sig 516 while on duty, you might want to consider another SBR. I would suggest a LMT, LWRC, SCAR16s or even a DI SBR like a Daniel Defense MK18. I just looked into ordering a Gen 2 Sig 516 in FDE, but I will pass on it unless I can find it for dirt cheap. The Sig 516 is very problematic, the gun doesn'y cycle properly half the time and you will run into problems like failure to eject, failure to feed, etc. I would not trust the sig 516 to be a duty worthy or SHTF gun.

I wouldn't waste my time there. I'd go with Gun Envy and Vances. The wait time at Vances suck, but if you know the right people, you don't really have to wait that long lol.

you can have it in Ohio, just not in certain Counties/Cities. I guess they just don't want to deal with that and won't ship to Ohio period. But if you want to load anything more than 31rds in ohio, you need permission from the Sheriffs of the county you reside in.

There is already kind of a registry when they run a 4473 when you buy a gun at the gun store. If the FBI or ATF run a trace on that serial number, it will get traced to the last person to purchase that gun that filled out a form 4473. Is it unenforceable? Yeap, I don't see how they can track hundreds of millions of gun that already out there with out having everyone register their firearms with the BATFE. The only other way they could do it is only apply it to guns purchased after the date the law went to effect. If you bought a New Gun, you sold it without a background check to someone else and it is used in a crime, the gun gets traced back to you, you get charged with a felony. I honestly have no problem with universal background checks for all gun purchases if they can do it without creating a database on who has what gun. If they can put it in the bill that form 4473 can only be used to trace guns committed in crime and not used as a national gun registry, that would be fine with me. or they can just buy the hundreds of millions of mags that are out in circulation.

I don't think the demand will be that high, most people that want ARs already have them. And people that want to stock up will probably wait till the price drops. It is hard to predict, but I think the market would recover to normal faster than it did post 2008 elections. If no serious legistlation gets passed now, chances of it getting passed later on are next to none. I also think another reason that the market is dry right now is due to people that are buying up all the guns to resale.

We will see today, I just don't see how that can be true when he keeps on pushing the AWB. Many people who have a gun for protection, for hunting, for sportsmanship utilizes guns that would be banned if there was a AWB. I hope it can be true, I just want prices to come down to normal so I can build my MK18 Clone. I have the upper back ordered from AIM Surplus for a while now.
