Import Face-Off Race Points Championship presented by http://www.LightningMotorsports.com
2012 RACE POINTS CHAMPIONSHIP: The Import Face-Off Race Points Championship is for Heads Up class racers only. Racers will receive 10 points for every elimination round won at each 2012 event. Champions will be chosen for Top 8/16 qualifier classes (FWD/FIP/FIS) and for Top 4/8 qualifier classes (AMP/AMS/OL) for 5 different colored regions (see map). In the event of a points tie, winners will be determined by most events attended. If points are still tied after amount of points and events attended, winners will be determined by furthest total distance traveled for the season. All race points winners will receive trophy plus free race and crew entry (limit 3) to all 2013 IFO events. All champions will also have their picture (car, driver, and crew) featured on a full page mention in the March, 2013 issue of Performance Auto and Sound magazine. Overall points winner will receive a $2000 Lightning Motorsports certificate.
2012 CAR SHOW POINTS CHAMPIONSHIP: Car show contestants will receive 10 points for each class trophy won or 50 points for each Best of Show win at all 2012 events. Champions will be chosen for 5 different colored regions (see map). The top 10 competitors with the most points for each region (50 total) will have their name and picture (car and drive) featured on a 2 page mention in the March, 2013 issue of Import Tuner magazine.
2012 CAR CLUB POINTS CHAMPIONSHIP: Car clubs will receive 10 points for competing, 20 points for winning Best Club Participation, or 30 points for Best Club Representation at all 2012 IFO events. Champions will be chosen for 5 different colored regions (see map). Each regional Champion must compete at a minimum of 3 events throughout the year. Overall and regional points Champion will have their picture and club feature in the March, 2013 issue of Super Street magazine.

at IFO it is $30 to race whether just running TnT or competing for cash. Payouts are in the the thousands, plus trophies.
If want to race for a cheaper price, tracks usually host weekly, non-payout, TnT nights for $20 to $25, even as low as $15 according to the above post /\

no problem, yes, this is IFO.
We keep the entry fees the same across the board to encourage more people to actually compete instead of just run tnt. It is $30 to race which is only $5 more than most tnt sessions at most tracks across the country. It is no extra charge to race for money. Some of the heads up class winners won $700 or $600 each yesterday, yet only paid $30 to compete.

IFO paid out 110% of the entry fees. There were 124 racers yesterday. Entry fee is $30 whether run TnT or compete for $$$. Cash payouts just for the racers that day totaled to $4100, most of which go to the faster heads up classes. That is typical for any race event... bigger payouts for the faster classes.

no cut body panels allowed in the FIS class though. Those 9 second cars will have to run FIPro as they are most likely cut up for something... big intercooler, bumper, cage, whatever. Payout is much larger in FIP too, so those cars don't usually race in FIS.

First off, very special thanks to all the sponsors, competitors, and spectators who supported the 2009 NOS Energy Drink IMPORT FACE-OFF series. 2009 was our best year yet with 22 events nationwide. EVERY repeat location that was not affected by weather or date change had an increase in attendance from all years before. The scene dying is a MYTH.
The series is still growing and will have another national tour with atleast 25 events in 2010. The first IFO in 2010 will mark our 100th event since 2001. If you would like to help pass out fliers while making some extra cash, please email your 1) full name, 2) complete mailing address, and 3) amount of fliers you'd like (envelope of 200 or box of 500) to hybridentertainment78@yahoo.com Promoters are assigned a number and are paid on commission, $2 for every flier that comes in with your number on it. Spectators bring in the fliers because of the $2 off admission coupon. Checks are mailed out within a week after the event. The program pays well if you get enough fliers out. There are successful, repeat promoters every year at every location. Here is what the flier looks like...
