  1. Cancelled it after the last kid moved out and don't miss it at all, there's enough on the net to watch if I want to vegitate. Between Netflix, 20 or so documentary websites, youtube, PBS and BBC(with the media hint firefox add on) I can geek out on military history anytime I want.

  2. I've been using the Cortech 21 liter expander since about '07, I've had to replace the zipper since the original wore out and can't replace the bag because they're not sold anymore. Would buy again A+++ if I could get one.

When this finally dies, I'm thinking about the Nelson Rigg CL-1035.

  3. Open it up and check out the power supply capacitors, they're the most common reason flat screen tv's die and they're easy to replace and only cost a few dollars. My LG 32" wouldn't turn on, so I checked them and sure enough the psu caps were either bulging or leaking, ordered new ones online and soldered them in. That was a couple years ago and it's been serving as my monitor nearly every day since.

  4. Yea, the route was short with too much in town to get very much of a feel for the bikes. I rode the first available, the white Stryker, pretty meh...I'm not a cruiser guy. It doesn't have much lean angle and I was scraping boots and stuff in the corners, the bars were too high and too far apart for me. Just not my cup of tea.

I went for the Tenere, nice bike, I should've set the clutch & brake levers because they were waaay too far out for me, making it hard to do much other than maintain.

However, that FJR. Holy shit that's a great bike and motor, it's got power from idle to redline, comfortable, great handling, a freaking long distance rocket. I shouldn't have ridden it, because I want one reallly badly now.

  5. I've been using 244 knobbies on the KLR with no problem other than being hard to get on the rim.

I tried a set of 009 ravens on the ex500 and once they got a few thousand miles on they cause a terrible headshake over 40mph and felt squirrley in corners, put on PR2's and everything's better now.

  6. Last few year were equipped. Best meet I put together was a 1625lbs total - 635/420/570 in 2011. Next meet I think I hit 640/400/575, my bench took a shit that day. I've never been a good meet lifter, don't sleep well the night before and nerves get to me. Last September I hit hit a pretty solid 700 squat in the gym, but they've got a lot stronger guys than that there. If I get back into it, my initial goal will be 1300 raw at 198 (which should be fairly easy), then 1400 at 198. After that, I'll think about equipped again.

    Damn, you're a beast.

My goal is 315 bench, 405 squat and 500 dead. I may not ever see the squat, since now with all the titanium in my leg I pay dearly for a few days whenever they get heavy, but the bench is almost there and I'm getting 455 deads again. Most of my legwork has been the press and extension machines since they don't kill my knee as bad.

I want that 3 plate bench badly right now.

My other goal is to keep enough muscle mass on so I don't have to worry too much about calories or those tasty beers that keep finding their way into my pie hole.
