  1. Hmm. I'd be worried about getting popped there. There's some great spots in and around Delaware where you wont' be bothered. Digging the 4runner, too.

That's odd, one of the last times I was there, the fire department was out there putting out a car fire. The detective was asking if we had seen anyone in the area. He was in full support for riding/wheeling back there. Maybe the police are different.

  2. welcome. See you at mid ohio I hope.

Quite possible, I've been there a couple times, once on the 600rr, once on the F3.

Here is the supermoto with the GF, the picture on the wall is mid ohio.

  3. Sooooo.... if you don't have the mr2 OR the NSX, what do you have, now?

06 4Runner, haven't decided on the next sports car yet.

    I still have the XR650r and KX65

  4. Been to one of your events several years ago with one of your members. I had a MR2 SC back then, which then recieved a turbo engine swap. After that owned an NSX (sold now). Have had various bikes along the way, CBF F3, CBR600rr, XR650R supermoto, and a KX65 minibike for kart tracks.

  5. Well here she is:

    IMG_2197.jpg

Went for a 300 mile ride with a couple other guys, Stevan and John (Repsol John I believe?). Went all the way to WV and back.

Go figure the XR doesn't do so great on the highway but once we got to the twisty stuff I was really suprised just how well it did! (so you have context I've ridden my F3 and 600rr at a few track days and was at the upper level of intermediate, I also race little mini bikes and do okay. Basically I'm not great but I can get around pretty quickly)

The bike has a few modifications, 320mm front rotor, Rad cush hub, Maxxis slicks, 12kg spring in rear, 4.9s in the front, 7.5 weight fork oil. Motor is uncorked but thats it.

Hopefully Stevan puts up the videos.

Anyways, the bike was suprisingly stable when leaded over and had plenty of drive out of the corners compared to keep up with the liter bikes. Any open stretch though they decimated me. Stevan stayed with me okay, but he is pretty slow on that R1 in the really twisty bits:) The suspension damping was a bit harsh on the high speed hits (although the sportbike guys were complaining how the road was utter crap so maybe the XR's suspension was doing okay).

I was a bit concerned getting the stiffest springs I could find, may be too stiff. They are not, stil a lot of travel and give a much better feel than my old XR that had the stock springs. I'm 180 before gearing up.

The slicks did slide a little in the first couple minutes if I got on it too hard when leaned over, they came up to temp very quickly though (60 degree day).

  6. I think it's a little idotic. They are there for a race, what changes (besides making nieve people happy) by adding that little plate?

The intent of the law is lost here. These people are probably safer to be on the streets than most everyday drivers. Why do all the laws suddenly need to change when a tire touches pavement?

Did they break the law? Yes. Is it a stupid law? In this case I believe so, it does have it's place though.

  7. Alex failed to mention he had 1 spirited Coshocoton ride on that bike...everyone knows how wreckless those rides are!! He might have even shared a little paint with Parks around some of those corners...

+1 for winter storage in the living room at the Alex residence...my bike hasn't seen nothing like that since. lol I'm glad to see you're planning on getting another motorcycle!! RC8 before Stevan gets back?

Lol, that would really chap his ass :)

I'm not sure....I just don't have the chance to ride the 600rr fast enough for it to be fun. Track is great but so expensive, especially when I'm likely to crash. The mini bike I can crash all the time and have really good races with, maybe I'll pick up another supermoto, that bike was insanely fun!

  8. Move to a different bike?? weak Alex, weak. Good luck with the sale and bump for a good guy!! :D You're coming out to Beav this weekend right??

    Aaron

    Yeah I'll be there.

Ohh, so hows your sportbike treating you....ohh wait a minute :slap:

  9. What?!?!?!?! Where are those sexy satos? good to see you're still around alex.

Bump for a great guy and well maintained bike, it hibernates in his living room during the winter.

Sold them :) you never get your money back from mods if you leave them on the bike. Had an PCV and Autotune and full system too. Still have the Brembo master sitting around.

I've still got Stefans bike in my living room! Dude needs to come back to the US.

Looking to move to a different bike.

  10. Nice. Yeah Mr.A you better look at this.

Id rock it just like it is plus signals and mirrors.

Does it have a tail light or is that just a race tail?

It has a taillight, the front light is on there too.

It has the LED turn signal passenger pegs too.

Stock mirrors are included, I am using a small ebay one right now.

  11. Anderson can't shop until next year, he's going to pay off the 2fiddy and then sell it before upgrading.

Nice bike though. Might want to look at a shaded visor, the nostril flaring made me laugh, you got built in ram air scoops  jk.

    Good luck!

    Here ya go ;)

  12. Was a white 07, I bought it new. I have done 3 trackdays on it (2 at mid ohio, 1 at beaverun). I took off the stock plastics shortly after purchasing since I was scared of ruining them if I went down. (I sold them on here several months ago).

I put on e-racings fairings and did go down once, at 5-10 mph in a gravel trap at mid ohio. The stator cover got some of the paint scraped off it (no abrasion to the aluminum). I then put woodcraft covers on both sides. The fairing got a few very minor cracks, these were fixed and then repainted.

I have made the price to accomidate buying a new set of fairings for the new owner.

    Mods:

    E-Racings fairings

Modified the above to hold a headlight (just required a cut-out).

Removed rear brake reservoir, using tube that does not "sweat" brake fluid.

Tripage turn signal passenger pegs (not currently installed, can install in 10 minutes).

    Servo eliminator circuit.

    Galfer superbike brake lines.

    Galfer HH brake pads.

Removed the mirrors (still have them)

    Frame sliders

    The bad:

    Don't have stock fairings.

Rear tire is getting a little low (BT002RS tires, 190/55 rear)

Only laid down once in gravel (like a pillow except for the scratches on the stock stator cover which has been replaced with a woodcraft).

    $5500 Clean title in hand.

The first 5 photos I just took, the rest are from a few months ago.

  13. Hey that's my old bike! Beware!

5 minutes after the new owner bought the bike, he crashed it breaking the engine casing. We had to JB weld it back together.

    This.

    "1998 Honda CBR 600 F3

    37k miles.

Runs well!! New brakes, new chain, new Pilot Power tires, f/r, just changed oil, etc.

The bike is in very good condition, but not perfect. It has a little bit of road rash and was missing a fairing when I picked it up two years ago. Right now it has the black rear piece which is the only part that isn't original. The bike looks very good and I still get tons of compliments on it.

I am in no hurry to sell, so I am firm with the price. $2500.

This bike will hold its value well, so in 1-2 years you should be able to sell for around the same price.

The bike is located in Columbus, OH. (Clean title)

  14. uhh thats a fact...do your homework

Better is variable. What if I say the requierment for better is the one that fits tall people best. RC8 wins. Sound? RC8.

    It's subjective.

If you're talking about lap times...you really think you are good enough to realize the difference? Doubtful.
