There is nothing wrong with big group rides! All it takes is one person talking to everyone at the start of the ride so everyone knows hand and foot sighns and the 1 over 3 back rule. It is always possible for riders to go down in a big pack because of people riding over their heads and thats the biggest problem with group rides period! It is nice to be in a big group because if your bike goes over a hill you will have plenty of help to get the bike back to the road. I will be leading the slower pack this year like i was talking about in the Junkies thread!

only bad thing ever to happen to me on the street is that dog i hit. Didnt go down,but felt terrible! On the track i lowsided at Putnam in the rain and i highsided at beaver at aroud 70-80mph. Good times. As for group rides i have only seen 1 wreck that 2 bikes were involved. They were too hot and in gravel and one went down and the other must have target fixated and he went down next to the first guy. I have seen maybe 10-15 wrecks on the street.

i want everyone to go to the track! The BG track days will help me get people out finally. But new riders dont know anything and dont want to pay ANY money at first for anything. I am of course going to push track days like i always have,but no matter how hard i try people will always be riding the street. I will be at many of the BG wed things even if i have to drag new people just to watch if nothing else.

i think the outer should be black and the headlight ring gold.

im 5'9 160#'s and i wear size 52 euro and its a dainese 1 peice. I couldnt fit a peice of paper between me and my suit! Also make sure you leave room for a back/chest protector!

See i know how exited people get when going fast. Some people can have self controll and hold their own pace. Then there are others who will get all mixed up in the exitment and begin to ride over their heads. It happens to all of us and can be avoided by having a slower rider lead the pack while watching the pack behind them. I have seen this on the street and on the track and it happens all the time. target fixation on the rider in front of you is something we all have to learn to avoid or bad things happen. I have little tips for people to help avoid the situation that the video showed. I wish i could just tell people to ride their own pace,but new riders dont even know what their own pace is!
