  1. Chad, can you share a link for the $90 fuel lines?

Looking up 4.3L V6 Silverado fuel systems I’m finding cheap brake line kits in Stainless Steel, but the fuel line kit is $200+

I think I cross referenced on Dorman's site. Looks like they went down in price as well >$70 for pre-bent SS lines.

  2. You don't need a FHA certified contractor for a 203k...just a licensed/insured contractor will do. Hope this helps!

We just did this exact same thing at the end of 2016 and he is right about just needing someone licensed and insured. We did find a lot of contractors will not do them because of the extra steps and that some of them specialize in it. I can look up our contractor if you'd like. What type of work are you needing done?

  3. Do you know what part you're staying in? I went last year and stayed in Duck. We went to the Wright Brothers museum, visited three lighthouses, drove the entire length of the outerbanks but the most fun I had was at the far north end the road kicks you out to the beach. You can drive I think 14 miles on the beach to the Virginia line if you have a 4x4. You can drive over the sand dunes in certain areas and there are back roads for houses all the way up to Virginia. They do wild horse tours through there with Hummers and F250's that get bumper deep in the large puddles on the back roads. I went through a number of them which was fun.
