click on your profile name on the top right of the page where it says "Welcome, Sara_Rides" Now click on "Edit you friends list" where it shows your friends on the right side of the page. Then near the bottom of that page you can search for friends. If you start to type their screen name it will automatically guess a list of possible matches. then click add friend.
