  1. A helmet specifically for the ladies, the new Shoei RF-1200 Duchess features black, pink, purple, and silver paisley styling cues and is available today from Riders Discount. Like previous updates to the RF line, the RF-1200 is a big step up from the outgoing model. One of the more noticeable changes at a glance is the reduction in shell size. The new shell is more aerodynamic and sleek looking than the predecessor thanks to extensive wind tunnel testing. The more compact shell also serves as an indication of the lower weight that the helmet carries. Shoei claims that the RF-1200 is the lightest SNELL approved helmet that they have produced, which feels like an accurate statement once you put the helmet on. Fit is true to size in an intermediate oval shell shape with MSRP at $589.99. The Duchess is also available in a white pearl with silver graphics. For more information, or if you'd like to place an order, give MIKE a call at 866.931.6644 ext. 804. Is email more convenient? 2. New from Bell is an update on the widely popular Bell Rogue helmet, the Corey Miller War Eagle edition is available from Riders Discount. LA Ink's Corey Miller added his flair to the Bell Rogue with dueling war eagles, a dagger in the back, and wings surrounding the Bell logo in front. The overall finish maintains a flat, or matte theme. For our full review on the Bell Rogue, check out our blog post here. Fit is true to size and standard bell with an intermediate oval head shape. For more information or if you'd like to place an order for this or any of the other Rogue helmets, send MIKE a message or give him a call at 866.931.6644 ext. 804. Is email more convenient? 3. Now you can own the replica lid of the youngest MotoGP rookie-champion siince Kenny Roberts with the Shoei RF-1200 Marquez Black Ant helmet available from Riders Discount! Shoei developed the brand new CWR-1 shield for the RF-1200, and it comes with a number of new features. The first isn’t a feature of the shield itself, but the base plates that hold it in place. The new QR-E base plates secure the shield using pivoting quick-release mechanisms that make shield changes even faster than before. While this might not sound like much, improving on the already great base plates from before is worth noting. The shield itself features reinforcements that run along the top and bottom in order to add rigidity. Ever felt a cheap shield flex when opening or closing it? That is not an issue with the RF-1200. This structural strength also helps keep a better seal around the eyeport. Every RF-1200 comes with a Pinlock insert for the absolute best in fog prevention. Retails at $626.99. If you’re interested, just give MIKE a call at 866.931.6644 ext. 804, or contact him through this forum for more info. Is email more convenient? Feel free to send those to FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM and we’ll get back to you right away!
  4. Inspired by one of the most recognized paint jobs in the world, the Bell Vortex Flying Tiger lid is the ultimate military branded helmet available from Riders Discount today. The Flying Tiger pays homage to the 1st American Volunteer Group, a fighter group with the mission of defending China against Japanese forces during WWII. Sporting elements of the Tigers' shark-faced P40 Warhawk fighter planes and distinctive "Flying Tiger" insignia designed by Disney, this Bell helmet is a little slice of history. DOT and Snell 2010 approved, the Bell Vortex fits true to size with an intermediate-oval head shape. Clear shield included, the dark smoke shield pictured is sold separately. 5. Another unique graphic out of Icon this year is the Icon Airframe Statistic helmet. Available from Riders Discount, the Icon Statistic is essentially a safety statement displayed on your helmet. Based on the comprehensive 1981 Hurt Report, a five year long study into US motorcycle crashes, Icon has marked the areas where a rider's helmet is most likely to be hit in the event of an accident. Graphics overlayed on their new increasingly popular Construct finish. The Construct shows off the construction of the fiberglass/Dyneema/carbon fiber shell. Icon includes a dark smoke shield with each helmet. DOT and ECE certified, fit is intermediate oval and true to size. For more information, or if you'd like to place an order, send him a message or give MIKE a call at 866.931.6644 ext. 804. Is email more convenient? 6. There is no question that the HJC RPHA-10 is one of the best deals out there when it comes to helmets and we’ve already shown you the models sporting the replica graphics of MotoGP racers, Jorge Lorenzo and Ben Spies. The RPHA-10 race replicas are not the only options, however, and while already affordable in those trims, they become an even better value in some of the other graphics such as the Zappy pictured here available from Riders Discount. The shell of the RPHA-10 is an advanced composite that combines carbon fiber, fiberglass epoxy, aramid epoxy and organic fibers in a precisely aligned weave that excels in strength, energy absorption and weight savings. HJC calls this their Performance Integrated Matrix (P.I.M.) construction and it saves weight by reducing unnecessary overlap and resin build-up. The PIM shell is not only strong and light, but it is also aerodynamic and quiet thanks to extensive CAD design and wind-tunnel testing. A hot helmet is an uncomfortable helmet, so HJC made sure that the RPHA-10 is able to keep your head cool and comfortable in warm weather. Ventilation comes from two large intakes on the top of the head, and one on the chin. All three are highly adjustable to allow for variable amounts of airflow depending on the conditions. These vents move a lot of air through the helmet without the higher noise levels that can come from some ventilation systems. Inside the shell, the full-removable/washable SilverCool liner helps wick away moisture and features a Gingko extract coating for a natural anti-bacterial guard. All RPHA-10 helmets come with HJC’s newest HJ-20 Pinlock shield and insert for the best in fog prevention. These shields also feature an easy to use center locking mechanism that prevents the shield from accidentally popping open if you turn your head to look behind you or to the sides. The HJC RPHA-10 Zappy is shown here in the Red/White/Blue, but it is also available in a Black/White/Grey. The Zappy graphic is very sharp and features a red that fades to a slight orange tone from front to back. Plenty of metallic flake in the blue. If you’re interested any of the RPHA-10 graphics, or other HJC helmet, you can get in touch with MIKE for expert sizing advice and more information. Feel free to send him a message through this forum or give him a call at 866.931.6644 ext. 804. You can also send an email to FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM and we’ll get back to you right away!
  7. It's very hard to get more American than this Dogs of War helmet from Speed and Strength. Red, white, and blue graphics in a digital camo theme, the American's Creed, dog tags, and every purchase supports the Warrior Dog foundation. The Warrior Dog Foundation helps to transition dogs from an operational environment into a state-of-the-art kennel facility. They strive to educate the public on the importance of K-9s in the combat environment, and showcase the level of sacrifice these dogs give in support of our troops. They care for each individual SOF K-9 with dignity and grace, including both mental and physical rehabilitation for the rest of their lives. The SS700 is your base model from Speed and Strength available from Riders Discount. No frills, but still has everything you need in a helmet such as excellent air flow thanks to their Airstrike direct course ventilation system, quick release chin strap, an optically correct shield (also available smoke, silver, or gold), and an advanced thermo-poly alloy shell making this an extremely lightweight lid. The American's Creed Sizing runs true to size with an intermediate oval head shape. Available in black/grey, black/red, or red/white/blue (pictured). AGV focused on an increased field of vision, lower weight, increased ventilation, and aerodynamics. 10. We've compared four of the top modular helmets available on the market over the past few weeks and have put it all together for you with short summaries on each. We'll briefly go over the pros and cons of the Nolan N104, Shoei Neotec, Bell Revolver Evo, and HJC RPHA Max, and give you our thoughts to help you to make an educated and informed decision on your purchase. What is a modular helmet? A modular helmet is basically the same as a normal street helmet, with the added benefit of a flip up chin bar. Initially popular among the adventure tourers and long distance travelers, you'll find all types of riders wearing these helmets now. The key to their success is the versatility. With the chin bar down, it performs the same as a regular street helmet. With the chin bar up, it makes it easier to put on glasses, is less intimidating to other motorists or gate guards, and easier to read GPS/maps with the chin bar out of the way. Nolan N104 • Fit: Neutral to narrow • Weight: 3 lbs. 13-1/2 oz (L) • Safety: DOT/ECE w/P/J approval P/J approval allows the motorcyclist to ride the vehicle both with open and closed chin guard, in compliance with the current legislation in force. • MSRP $449.95 • Shell: Composite Full Nolan N104 Review Pros: • Build quality is outstanding and what we’ve come to expect from Nolan • Excellent ventilation • The paint and graphic quality is superb for a mass production helmet • Massive eye port for some of the best optics in its class • Aerodynamically efficient even with the chin bar raised • The only one to achieve a rating higher than DOT • Pinlock ready shield and Pinlock fog-free insert included Cons: • The internal sun visor is spring loaded with only up or down, there is no in between. Also, the nose cutout is a bit overdone and can be distracting. • With excellent ventilation comes noise. The N104 is fairly loud at speed. • Uses a “microlock” chin strap. It works and has passed all safety tests, but some riders may prefer the tried and true standard D-ring retainer. Overall: The Nolan N104 is a massive step up from the ever popular N90 and N103 modular helmets. It's obvious Nolan has developed the N104 from years of knowledge in building previous modular helmets. With the only modular helmet we reviewed to achieve an ECE rating, the N104 can be considered the safest of them all. Shoei Neotec • Fit: Neutral • Weight: 3 lbs. 15-7/8 oz (L) • Safety: DOT • MSRP $648.99 solid/$662.99 metallic • Shell: AIM multi-composite Full Shoei Neotec Review Pros: • The perfect modular flip-up helmet. The Neotec includes everything one would require of a modular helmet and more • Easiest internal sun visor shield operation of the bunch with a shield that encompasses the rider’s field of vision for no distractions while down • Shoei quality. Can’t go wrong with a Shoei branded helmet • Outstanding ventilation while still keeping internal noise levels to a minimum • The Neotec includes a Pinlock Fog Resistant shield and clear Pinlock insert • Five year warranty included Cons: • With perfection comes a price - this is the most expensive of the four reviewed • At a hair under 4 lbs, the weight of the helmet becomes noticeable when compared with the others while riding Overall: There’s no question you could buy two or three cheaper helmets for the same price as the Neotec, but will you be as satisfied with the build quality and features? That’s up to you. HJC RPHA-Max • Fit: Slightly Narrow • Weight: 3 lbs. 9-1/8 oz (L) • Safety: DOT • MSRP $459.99 solid, $464.99 metallic/matte, $499.99 (Align graphic) • Shell: Composite – Carbon Fiber, Aramid, Fiberglass, Organic non-woven fabric Full HJC RPHA-Max Review Pros: • The lightest modular helmet we reviewed. Saves weight with a single pivot point for both the flip up chin bar and external shield and carbon composite shell • Three shell sizes give the helmet excellent proportions. A small head size isn't going to be stuffing their head into 30mm of padding. • Carry over technology from the RPHA10 developed on track resulting in premium build quality, ventilation, and aerodynamics • Ventilation is quite good while staying relatively quiet with extensive wind tunnel testing Cons: • The HJC Symax 3 is still available, and much cheaper • Does not include HJC’s RapidFire shield removal system and the new way is not as refined • Center shield lock is harder to use with thick winter/heated gloves Overall: A quality lid from HJC and steps up to the plate against the tried and true Nolan N series modular helmets. However, perhaps it’s worst competition is it’s older brother, the Symax 3, a cheaper modular helmet by HJC. But put them on one after the other, and it’s clear the RPHA-Max is far superior in every way and worth the extra pennies, it’s just hard to see that on a computer screen. Bell Revolver Evo • Fit: Intermediate Oval • Weight: 3 lbs. 14 oz (L) • Safety: DOT • MSRP $199.95 • Shell: Polycarbonate Full Bell Revolver Evo Review Pros: • Reuses same external shield seen on the Star, RS-1, and Vortex so you can use Bell’s popular transition shield • Five year warranty included • Bell exclusive Magnefusion magnetic strap keeper • Integrated speaker pockets • Extremely stable at speed Cons: • Modular mechanism isn’t as refined as the more expensive models • One of the noisiest helmets we reviewed in comparison to the others • Only one of the four to use a polycarbonate shell Overall: With the initial Revolver being Bell’s first step into the modular helmet market in 2011, the Bell Revolver Evo is a refresh of the original fixing key customer issues. At a price that doesn’t break the bank, the Revolver is a decent helmet. However, while you will get a solid helmet, you won’t get the refined and developed modular features that you would with the other brands that have been in the modular market longer. Tell us what you think in a post below! If you'd like to place an order for any one of these helmets, or would like more information, feel free to give MIKE a call at 866.931.6644 ext. 804 or shoot him a message through this forum. 11. Replacing the Nolan N103, arguably one of the better modular helmet options available, is no easy task. We believe Nolan has achieved this by improving on the N103 with the Nolan N104 Modular Helmet. Thinner, lighter, aerodynamic, and better optics are only a few of the improvements Nolan has put into this new helmet. Modular helmets are a bit heavier to begin with, however with an all new shell that is just under 4 lbs for a size large, the N104 is helmet noticeably lighter than the N103. Two shell sizes, comprised of injected polycarbonate GE Lexan, encompass the complete size range with one shell for 2XS-LG, and the other for XL-3XL. The inner shield mechanism is all new and much easier to use. A single slide to lower the inner dark smoke shield and a push button release to retract the shield back into the shell. To lift the chinbar, Nolan has implemented a two-step process to prevent accidental opening. To release it, pull the red lower lip out, which triggers a small, red, recessed tab that is squeezed while holding the lower one and lift. The chinbar locks into place making it a legal 3/4 helmet while riding at speed. Nolan has designed the helmet so that it is still aerodynamically efficient even with the chin bar in the upright position, ensuring a comfortable ride no matter what mode you have the helmet in. Nolan has increased the overall eyeport area and included a Pinlock ready shield along with a Pinlock fog-free insert. The Nolan N104 is more of an intermediate-round/neutral fit and available from Riders Discount in 8 different solid colors as well as various graphics. For more information on sizing, or if you would like to place an order, give MIKE a call at 866.931.6644 ext. 804. Is email more convenient? Available in 6 other colorways, there is sure to be a graphic for you. Equipped with Emergency Release cheek pads. Available from Riders Discount in XS to 2XL sizes, the EXO-R2000 comes in 4 shell sizes to optimize weight, fitment, and comfort. 13. The 2013 MotoGP season saw multiple records demolished by rookie Marc Marquez, including being crowned the youngest world champion since Kenny Roberts Sr. Winning a total of 6 races, on the box 18 different rounds, and at the front of the grid 9 times for pole position, Marc Marquez took the MotoGP paddock by storm. In honor of Honda HRC's home race in Motegi, Marquez brought a special graphic Shoei X-12 adorned with a variation of the Japanese flag for good luck in his quest to clinch the championship. The replica Motegi lid is now available from Riders Discount. The graphic quality is superb as always from Shoei The chin bar is wrapped in black that fades to a metallic blue. Retails at $755.99, you can get a Shoei X-12 Marc Marquez Motegi Replica Helmet of your own by giving MIKE a call at 866.931.6644 ext. 804, or by contacting him through this forum. 14. Rossi's 2013 Mugello replica lid, the AGV Corsa Turtle Rossi Replica helmet is now available from Riders Discount! For Mugello, the Doctor chose a 'turtle helmet' decorated with a design featuring a cartoon type turtle shell with two huge eyes at the front. Since his childhood, Valentino has always been fascinated by this animal: the first furry toy his mother gave him was a ninja turtle and when he rode in the mini moto series, he always had it fitted to the top of his helmet. Since then he has always had the same graphic on his helmets in one way or another and even has one tattooed on his hip. You can immediately tell that the AGV Corsa is something a little different at a glance. From the huge eye port at the front, to the sharp diffuser at the back, the entire profile of the helmet screams performance. That’s because the Pista GP that it is based on was meant for pure performance at the highest level. The two helmets share the same shell shape, which means that the Corsa gets the same ultra-efficient aerodynamics and massive eye port as its much more expensive counterpart. The area that the shells differ is the material used. The Pista GP is made of carbon fiber, whereas the Corsa is made of a Carbon/Kevlar/Fiberglass. Built into the shell are several very large intake vents at the front and two exhaust vents at the back. The shape, size and channeling of the ventilation is the same as that of the Pista GP, however the Corsa’s are adjustable. Inside the Corsa, you’ll find a very plush, comfortable lining that allows you to customize the fit right out of the box. An intermediate-oval shell however, peel-away foam pads found in both the cheek pads and liner allow the fit to be user customizable. These types of pads aren’t new to the market, but the liner also has another trick up its sleeve. The two strips of padding that run over the top of the head connect to the back of the liner with velcro, meaning that you can lengthen, shorten and move them side to side. This allows the Corsa to provide a comfortable and safe fit to a variety of head shapes. The fabrics that line the interior are all extremely breathable and have received a special sanitizing treatment that keeps them fresher for longer. When they do need cleaning, you can pull them out and wash them without having to worry about ruining them. Overall, the AGV Corsa successfully takes most of what makes the Pista GP such an effective track helmet, and makes it more attainable for those that are not top-level racers. It also adds versatility, which is not a bad thing at all. If you’re interested in the AGV Turtle, just get in touch with MIKE by calling 866.931.6644 ext. 804 or send an email to FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM and we’ll get back to you right away!

  16. A new color from HJC in their popular RPHA-10 lineup, the Halcyon, is now available from Riders Discount! If you’re interested any of the RPHA-10 graphics, or another HJC helmet, you can get in touch with MIKE for expert sizing advice and more information. 17. Riders Discount now has the newest edition to Bell’s extremely popular Star Carbon line-up - the Bell Star Carbon RSD Sway Helmet. As with the previous Bell Star Carbon helmets, this version uses an outer shell that is made from 100% carbon fiber. Bell spent a great deal of time engineering the shell to be not only lightweight and strong, but very aerodynamic as well. What they came up with was an angular shape with a uniquely contoured spoiler, both of which make this helmet extremely stable and resistant to buffeting. Air doesn’t only flow over the exterior nicely, it also flows in through the strategically placed vents at the front. This fresh air then pushes the warm air around your head out the exhaust vents at the back to help keep you cool and fresh. All vents are independently adjustable so that you can dial in the ventilation for different conditions. Designed by long time Bell Collaborator, Roland Sands, the RSD Sway graphic is laid over the carbon fiber with a matte finish that enhances the carbon fiber shell. This allows the weave to show through, and we think that’s a great design element. Basically a solid matte black lid from Bell with some RSD finesse. All the Bell logos are blacked out for a truly sinister look Feel free to get in touch with MIKE if you have any questions about the Bell Star Carbon RSD Sway, or any other Bell products. You can give him a call at 866.931.6644 ext. 804 or shoot him a PM through the forum. You can also send an email to FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM if that’s more convenient. All Bell helmets come with a clear shield as standard, but we have all the optional shields available - including dark smoke (pictured) and the SolFX Transitions shield.
  18. The highly anticipated Shark Speed-R Tom Sykes replica is now available form Riders Discount! One of the first helmets we've seen mass produced with a mirror graphic accent. This mirror finish does have a slight orange peel on purpose to distort the reflectivity of these particular graphic pieces. Gloss red, black, and Kawasaki green are your main base colors on this lid with various Chinese symbols spread throughout. Aggressively styled and full of features, the Shark Speed-R is designed to suit the needs of anyone riding on the street. The overall shape of the helmet was developed using extensive wind-tunnel testing in order to provide the aerodynamics and airflow necessary for all bikes, whether they have a windshield or not. The front of the Speed-R features two vents - one above the chin and one above the forehead. This is pretty standard stuff so far, but things are a bit different at the back. There you will find a unique, double-bladed spoiler at the top and a second spoiler at the base. The double-bladed spoiler creates a dual venturi effect that draws hot air out of the rear exhaust vents very effectively. The spoiler at the base helps keep things stable at speed and prevents turbulent air from running inside base of the helmet. When looking at the eyeport of the Shark Speed-R, the most obvious feature is the integrated, retractable sun-visor. This tinted visor retracts and deploys by sliding a tab found near the top of head on the left hand side. Smooth and easy to operate with a gloved hand, the slider and visor are a nice touch. One of the best features of the Speed-R is found in front of the sunvisor and is generally an afterthought on many helmets - the faceshield. Shark’s high-quality, anti-fog/anti-scratch shields provide a very wide and optically correct field of vision. They do so with a thickness that varies from 4.25mm in the center to 3mm at the sides. If you’re interested the Shark Speed-R Sykes replica, or another Shark helmet, you can get in touch with MIKE for expert sizing advice and more information. Feel free to send him a message through this forum or give him a call at 866.931.6644 ext. 804. You can also send an email to FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM and we’ll get back to you right away!
  19. The next AGV Valentino Rossi replica helmet is now available from Riders Discount! The AGV Sole Luna Rossi replica is another spectacular graphic offered by AGV. In classic Rossi style, the Sole Luna uses his hi-viz yellow complemented with bright and bold colors.
