  1. On the 10th anniversary of Daijiro Kato’s passing, SHOEI re-released his rider replica graphic in memory of the legendary rider. Considered to be the best-performing racing helmet ever conceived, the SHOEI X-Twelve Daijiro Kato Memorial Full Face Helmet is the best combination of style, comfort and protection. With five intake and ten exhaust vents, it's SHOEI's most ventilated racing helmet. The side vents allow for the warm air to escape, reducing fogging of the shield and increasing comfort. The CW-1 shield on the X-Twelve protects from 99% of the sun's damaging UV rays. Additionally, the shield works with the optional Pinlock® EVO fog-resistant system. MSRP $839.99 The interior of the X-Twelve is just as impressive as the outside. The max-dry interior liner absorbs sweat twice as fast as other nylon interiors. You can remove the entire liner to clean or replace it if you need to. The SHOEI X-Twelve Helmet not only looks great, but also offers maximum comfort and safety. The Emergency Quick Release System (E.Q.R.S.) allows for medical personal to pull two tabs to release the cheek pads, then easily remove the helmet from the rider's head without placing too much weight on the rider's neck. Being both DOT & Snell certified, you can be sure that the X-Twelve helmet will keep you safe in the case of a crash. The SHOEI X-Twelve Daijiro Kato Memorial Full Face Helmet is available in sizes XS-XL. This World War II themed helmet is similar in design to the Bell Vortex Flying Tiger, however we feel this particular graphic goes well above and beyond. This vinyl graphic has so much attention to detail it is something you really have to see in person to appreciate it all. This is by far the best vinyl based graphic that has come across our desks. Check it out for yourself - "Riveted" paneling Nose art similar to what the planes of that era had. Aged and battered effects making this look like it's just been in the dog fight of it's life. If you're a fan of old school military themed gear then you must add this to your collection. Order the Bell Qualifier DLX Devil May Care from Riders Discount today! This is Jorge's first replica helmet with a matte finish, and we have to say, it looks phenomenal. With influences from his "normal" HJC RPHA-10 Lorenzo replica, this was a special edition released in conjunction with the Call of Duty: Ghosts video game. The Call of Duty markings have been removed and the Ghost logo on top has been exchanged for his trademark "X" but the theme remains the same. The graphic has reflective properties to it adding depth to the helmet. Shown here with the HJC dark smoke shield (sold separately), give us a call to place your order today!
  6. From Shoei's latest release of new graphics comes the "Cog" graphic on the popular GT-Air model. A cog is simply another name for a gear which is the prevalent theme throughout this helmet. On the right side we have various cogwheels and reducer gears connected to an antiqued rod and piston. On the left side the cogs are connected to a smashed and exposed tachometer. All the cog elements have a metallic property to them and the flake really comes out in the light. Overall, this is one of the more visually intriguing helmets out of the Shoei factory as of late. You can place your order with MIKE by giving him a call at 866.931.6644 ext. 804. Is email more convenient? Send us a message through this forum or write to us at FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM, and we'll get back to you right away! On top is a different take on the classic checkered racing stripe with a marble finish. MSRP: $670.99. Included with every GT-Air is a Pinlock shield and clear Pinlock insert. 8. One of the coolest looking helmets to come across our desks lately, the Arai Signet-Q Hydra features a large Dragon with vibrant blue, red, and green colors laid out on a black frost base. Available from Riders Discount, this long oval helmet can be yours today! Order your new Arai helmet through our website here or give MIKE a call at 866.931.6644 ext. 804 for any questions you may have. Is email more convenient? Send us a message through this forum or write to us at FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM, and we'll get back to you right away! The Arai Signet-Q looks nearly identical to the RX-Q and shares many of its features. These include the wide field of vision, quiet and efficient ventilation, brow-vent shields, and the Hyper-Ridge. If you’re not already familiar with the Hyper-Ridge, it’s the distinctive band that runs around the bottom of the shell. It not only provides a lower center of gravity, but also improves strength and aerodynamics. Despite these similarities, the Signet-Q is an entirely different model, which becomes clear when you take note of the differences. The most significant difference between the Signet-Q and the RX-Q is the shape. The Signet-Q is actually 5mm longer from front to back, meaning that it is what Arai calls a long oval. Additionally, the Signet-Q has peel-away pads in the headliner that allow you to customize the fit on the sides of the head right out of the box. A new, more comfortable cheek pad system, called Facial Contour Support (FCS), was also added to this model. The new cheek pads feature an innovative design that puts just the right amount of pressure on the cheeks to give a secure fit and to keep wind noise out while being worn, but easily pull aside when putting the helmet on or taking it off. Like the headliner, the cheek pads also have a 5mm layer that can be peeled off to dial in the fit.
  9. The latest addition to Scorpion's lineup, the EXO-R710 has a long list of features that make this a great value in the sub $200 helmet category. Available from Riders Discount, the Scorpion EXO-R710 replaces the long gone EXO-750 and fills the gap between the current EXO-R410 and race spec EXO-R2000 models. The most notable features on this sub-$200 helmet is emergency cheek pad release system, 5 year warranty, advanced "Ellip-Tec" base plate for your shield, and a Snell M2015 rating. Available to purchase on our website, the R710 fits intermediate oval and comes in a solid or two different graphics with alternate color options available in each. Shown here is the Focus graphic in silver. Check out all the EXO-R710 graphics available on our website. If you have any questions regarding fit or sizing, or if you would like to place an order for your new Scorpion EXO-R710 helmet, give MIKE a call at 866.931.6644 ext. 804. Is email more convenient? Send us a message through this forum or write to us at FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM, and we'll get back to you right away! The Scorpion EXO-R710 features a fiberglass/aramid matrix shell weighing in at just around 3.5 lbs for the medium sized lid. Designed for the 3/4 to tuck position, this helmet does well at speed with aerodynamic features integrated into the helmet such as the rear spoiler and offers tons of ventilation with four intake ports and three exhaust vents. What we really liked about this helmet is the base plate mechanism. Using the same technology from the R2000 and R410, this "Ellip-Tec" base plate mechanism offered multiple detents and pulls the shield securely against the eyeport when closed. There's also a three position lever that allows you to lock the shield in place, unlock the shield, or a city position which cracks the shield open ever so slightly for additional ventilation. The shield was also incredibly easy to change out with a simple pull lever mechanism. Included is a clear Everclear No-Fog anti-scratch shield with optically correct vision. Light smoke, dark smoke, silver mirror, blue mirror, and gold mirror shields are sold separately. Flip the helmet over and the first thing you'll notice is the red "Emergency" tabs which allow for emergency personnel to slide the lining out. Inside is Scorpion's new KwicWick 2 liner with moisture-wicking, anti-microbial, and hypo-allergenic properties and is super soft to the touch. Beneath the liner you'll find cut outs to attach your speakers from your motorcycle communication system. Give our expert sales staff a call to order your Scorpion helmet today!
  10. Aldo Drudi is a world-famous designer, known for his work on MotoGP racers’ helmets and leathers. Drudi has designed gear for racers such as Kevin Schwantz, Valentino Rossi, and Marc Marquez. The Italian designer created the “Statement” graphic specially for the Corsair-X. The design is simple yet eye catching, featuring clean lines and blocks of color. It is available in both red/white/blue and black/red/white color schemes. Arai Corsair-X Black Statement Helmet The new PB SNC2 Shell of the Corsair-X is much lighter. In fact, it is 30% lighter than the Corsair-V. This is greatly attributed to the synthetic fibers and special resin formula that Arai has developed. Arai has not abandoned their special R75 shell shape, however. A lightweight, aerodynamic, and protective helmet is very sought after by racers, and Arai certainly has delivered. One of the biggest changes with this helmet is the upgraded ventilation system. The top/center vent allows around 11% more airflow than the Corsair-V did. All of the vents on the new Corsair-X are easier to adjust with gloves, as well as more durable and longer. MSRP $969.95 Another significant change is the new "Variable Axis System" (VAS). The VAS has a variable axis (moving pivot point) allowing the shield to open and close, even with the 24mm lower shield mount position. Arai Corsair-X White Statement Helmet The interior of the Corsair-X not only provides protection and comfort, but also does a great job keeping you cool. The plush lining in combination with the ventilation system wicks sweat away and helps keep you a comfortable temperature. The interior is made of Eco Pure material, which helps maintain neutral acidity levels close to human skin and antibacterial consumption. 5mm peel away ear pockets on the Corsair-X allow riders room for a communication system. Per customers’ requests, Arai lowered the chin bar by 3mm for extra comfort (great for riders that use a microphone) and upgraded the chin curtain and neck roll to help block out unwanted noise and help improve ventilation. MSRP $969.95 The Corsair-X comes with a VAS V MV Shield, which is a clear anti-fog Pinlock shield. There are several tinted shield options available for purchase as well. The Arai Corsair-X is both 2015 Snell and DOT certified. If you have any questions about the product or would like to place an order, feel free to give MIKE a call at 866.931.6644 ext. 804. 12. After much anticipation, the Arai Corsair-X is finally here - and it comes in the Dani Pedrosa graphic. The Corsair-X Dani-4 Helmet has a detailed red, white, silver, and blue design that is both bold and unique. The sides of the helmet have are blue with a swirling pattern that stretches to the back. Pedrosa’s #26 is found on both sides of the helmet near the top. The entire helmet has a slight metallic shimmer. The new PB SNC2 Shell of the Corsair-X is much lighter. 14. Arai has long been known for their superior quality motorcycle helmets, and the Corsair-V has been a racing staple for many riders since its release. Arai has redesigned the popular Corsair-V, and announced its upgraded version as the Arai Corsair-X. The Corsair-X Nicky 6 features a striking red, white, and blue American Flag style graphic on the sides with Hayden's signature #69 near the bottom of each side. The top ties in the green color we’ve seen on previous helmets, and leads into the famous Nicky “Kentucky Kid” logo on the center back part of the helmet. With all of the new features of the Corsair-X and this special graphic, the Nicky 6 is a truly spectacular helmet. The PB SNC2 Shell of the Corsair X is much lighter. In fact, it is 30% lighter than the V. This is greatly attributed to the synthetic fibers and special resin formula that Arai has developed. Arai has not abandoned their special R75 shell shape, however. A lightweight, aerodynamic, and protective helmet is very sought after by racers, and Arai certainly has delivered. 17. We've compared four of the top modular helmets available on the market over the past few weeks and have put it all together for you with short summaries on each. We'll briefly go over the pros and cons of the Nolan N104, Shoei Neotec, Bell Revolver Evo, and HJC RPHA Max, and give you our thoughts to help you to make an educated and informed decision on your purchase. What is a modular helmet? A modular helmet is basically the same as a normal street helmet, with the added benefit of a flip up chin bar. Initially popular among the adventure tourers and long distance travelers, you'll find all types of riders wearing these helmets now. The key to their success is the versatility. With the chin bar down, it performs the same as a regular street helmet. With the chin bar up, it makes it easier to put on glasses, is less intimidating to other motorists or gate guards, and easier to read GPS/maps with the chin bar out of the way. Nolan N104 • Fit: Neutral to narrow • Weight: 3 lbs. 13-1/2 oz (L) • Safety: DOT/ECE w/P/J approval P/J approval allows the motorcyclist to ride the vehicle both with open and closed chin guard, in compliance with the current legislation in force. • MSRP $449.95 • Shell: Composite Full Nolan N104 Review Pros: • Build quality is outstanding and what we’ve come to expect from Nolan • Excellent ventilation • The paint and graphic quality is superb for a mass production helmet • Massive eye port for some of the best optics in its class • Aerodynamically efficient even with the chin bar raised • The only one to achieve a rating higher than DOT • Pinlock ready shield and Pinlock fog-free insert included Cons: • The internal sun visor is spring loaded with only up or down, there is no in between. Also, the nose cutout is a bit overdone and can be distracting. • With excellent ventilation comes noise. The N104 is fairly loud at speed. • Uses a “microlock” chin strap. It works and has passed all safety tests, but some riders may prefer the tried and true standard D-ring retainer. Overall: The Nolan N104 is a massive step up from the ever popular N90 and N103 modular helmets. It's obvious Nolan has developed the N104 from years of knowledge in building previous modular helmets. With the only modular helmet we reviewed to achieve an ECE rating, the N104 can be considered the safest of them all. Shoei Neotec • Fit: Neutral • Weight: 3 lbs. 15-7/8 oz (L) • Safety: DOT • MSRP $648.99 solid/$662.99 metallic • Shell: AIM multi-composite Full Shoei Neotec Review Pros: • The perfect modular flip-up helmet. The Neotec includes everything one would require of a modular helmet and more • Easiest internal sun visor shield operation of the bunch with a shield that encompasses the rider’s field of vision for no distractions while down • Shoei quality. Can’t go wrong with a Shoei branded helmet • Outstanding ventilation while still keeping internal noise levels to a minimum • The Neotec includes a Pinlock Fog Resistant shield and clear Pinlock insert • Five year warranty included Cons: • With perfection comes a price - this is the most expensive of the four reviewed • At a hair under 4 lbs, the weight of the helmet becomes noticeable when compared with the others while riding Overall: There’s no question you could buy two or three cheaper helmets for the same price as the Neotec, but will you be as satisfied with the build quality and features? That’s up to you. HJC RPHA-Max • Fit: Slightly Narrow • Weight: 3 lbs. 9-1/8 oz (L) • Safety: DOT • MSRP $459.99 solid, $464.99 metallic/matte, $499.99 (Align graphic) • Shell: Composite – Carbon Fiber, Aramid, Fiberglass, Organic non-woven fabric Full HJC RPHA-Max Review Pros: • The lightest modular helmet we reviewed. Saves weight with a single pivot point for both the flip up chin bar and external shield and carbon composite shell • Three shell sizes give the helmet excellent proportions. A small head size isn't going to be stuffing their head into 30mm of padding. • Carry over technology from the RPHA10 developed on track resulting in premium build quality, ventilation, and aerodynamics • Ventilation is quite good while staying relatively quiet with extensive wind tunnel testing Cons: • The HJC Symax 3 is still available, and much cheaper • Does not include HJC’s RapidFire shield removal system and the new way is not as refined • Center shield lock is harder to use with thick winter/heated gloves Overall: A quality lid from HJC and steps up to the plate against the tried and true Nolan N series modular helmets. However, perhaps it’s worst competition is it’s older brother, the Symax 3, a cheaper modular helmet by HJC. But put them on one after the other, and it’s clear the RPHA-Max is far superior in every way and worth the extra pennies, it’s just hard to see that on a computer screen. Bell Revolver Evo • Fit: Intermediate Oval • Weight: 3 lbs. 14 oz (L) • Safety: DOT • MSRP $199.95 • Shell: Polycarbonate Full Bell Revolver Evo Review Pros: • Reuses same external shield seen on the Star, RS-1, and Vortex so you can use Bell’s popular transition shield • Five year warranty included • Bell exclusive Magnefusion magnetic strap keeper • Integrated speaker pockets • Extremely stable at speed Cons: • Modular mechanism isn’t as refined as the more expensive models • One of the noisiest helmets we reviewed in comparison to the others • Only one of the four to use a polycarbonate shell Overall: With the initial Revolver being Bell’s first step into the modular helmet market in 2011, the Bell Revolver Evo is a refresh of the original fixing key customer issues. At a price that doesn’t break the bank, the Revolver is a decent helmet. However, while you will get a solid helmet, you won’t get the refined and developed modular features that you would with the other brands that have been in the modular market longer. 18. Replacing the Nolan N103, arguably one of the better modular helmet options available, is no easy task. We believe Nolan has achieved this by improving on the N103 with the Nolan N104 Modular Helmet. Thinner, lighter, aerodynamic, and better optics are only a few of the improvements Nolan has put into this new helmet. Modular helmets are a bit heavier to begin with, however with an all new shell that is just under 4 lbs for a size large, the N104 is helmet noticeably lighter than the N103. Two shell sizes, comprised of injected polycarbonate GE Lexan, encompass the complete size range with one shell for 2XS-LG, and the other for XL-3XL. The inner shield mechanism is all new and much easier to use. A single slide to lower the inner dark smoke shield and a push button release to retract the shield back into the shell. To lift the chinbar, Nolan has implemented a two-step process to prevent accidental opening. To release it, pull the red lower lip out, which triggers a small, red, recessed tab that is squeezed while holding the lower one and lift. The chinbar locks into place making it a legal 3/4 helmet while riding at speed. Nolan has designed the helmet so that it is still aerodynamically efficient even with the chin bar in the upright position, ensuring a comfortable ride no matter what mode you have the helmet in. Nolan has increased the overall eyeport area and included a Pinlock ready shield along with a Pinlock fog-free insert. The Nolan N104 is more of an intermediate-round/neutral fit and available from Riders Discount in 8 different solid colors as well as various graphics. 20. The 2013 MotoGP season saw multiple records demolished by rookie Marc Marquez, including being crowned the youngest world champion since Kenny Roberts Sr. Winning a total of 6 races, on the box 18 different rounds, and at the front of the grid 9 times for pole position, Marc Marquez took the MotoGP paddock by storm. In honor of Honda HRC's home race in Motegi, Marquez brought a special graphic Shoei X-12 adorned with a variation of the Japanese flag for good luck in his quest to clinch the championship. The replica Motegi lid is now available from Riders Discount. The graphic quality is superb as always from Shoei The chin bar is wrapped in black that fades to a metallic blue. 21. Rossi's 2013 Mugello replica lid, the AGV Corsa Turtle Rossi Replica helmet is now available from Riders Discount! For Mugello, the Doctor chose a 'turtle helmet' decorated with a design featuring a cartoon type turtle shell with two huge eyes at the front. Since his childhood, Valentino has always been fascinated by this animal: the first furry toy his mother gave him was a ninja turtle and when he rode in the mini moto series, he always had it fitted to the top of his helmet. Since then he has always had the same graphic on his helmets in one way or another and even has one tattooed on his hip. You can immediately tell that the AGV Corsa is something a little different at a glance. From the huge eye port at the front, to the sharp diffuser at the back, the entire profile of the helmet screams performance. That’s because the Pista GP that it is based on was meant for pure performance at the highest level. The two helmets share the same shell shape, which means that the Corsa gets the same ultra-efficient aerodynamics and massive eye port as its much more expensive counterpart. The area that the shells differ is the material used. The Pista GP is made of carbon fiber, whereas the Corsa is made of a Carbon/Kevlar/Fiberglass. Built into the shell are several very large intake vents at the front and two exhaust vents at the back. The shape, size and channeling of the ventilation is the same as that of the Pista GP, however the Corsa’s are adjustable. Inside the Corsa, you’ll find a very plush, comfortable lining that allows you to customize the fit right out of the box. An intermediate-oval shell however, peel-away foam pads found in both the cheek pads and liner allow the fit to be user customizable. These types of pads aren’t new to the market, but the liner also has another trick up its sleeve. The two strips of padding that run over the top of the head connect to the back of the liner with velcro, meaning that you can lengthen, shorten and move them side to side. This allows the Corsa to provide a comfortable and safe fit to a variety of head shapes. The fabrics that line the interior are all extremely breathable and have received a special sanitizing treatment that keeps them fresher for longer. When they do need cleaning, you can pull them out and wash them without having to worry about ruining them. Overall, the AGV Corsa successfully takes most of what makes the Pista GP such an effective track helmet, and makes it more attainable for those that are not top-level racers. It also adds versatility, which is not a bad thing at all. 23. Bell has released all new 2014 colorways for their Star Carbon line including this graphic from Chris Wood of Airtrix, the Airtrix Boogie. What’s most noticeable on this particular graphic is the mixture of gloss and matte finishes showing off the carbon weave underneath. The gloss red, grey, and silver graphics are separated by a gold flake pin stripe. As with the previous Bell Star Carbon helmets, this version uses an outer shell that is made from 100% carbon fiber. Bell spent a great deal of time engineering the shell to be not only lightweight and strong, but very aerodynamic as well. What they came up with was an angular shape with a uniquely contoured spoiler, both of which make this helmet extremely stable and resistant to buffeting. Air is also directed into the variety of strategically placed vents at the front in order to push warm, stale air out through the exhaust vents at the back. All vents are independently adjustable so that you can dial in the ventilation for a variety of conditions. Another feature that goes unchanged is the shield system. The Star Carbon uses their fog and scratch resistant NutraFog II face shield in order to keep your view clear. It’s also treated with a potent anti-UV coating so that you don’t have to worry about your face being burnt red after a day’s ride in the sun. Bell’s 3Mode Shield allows you to quickly lock the visor down, crack it open for added ventilation and swap out faceshields with no tools required. And don’t forget to ask about a Bell Transitions SolFX Photochromatic faceshield available from Riders Discount. These visors have the same great benefits of the included unit, but also change their tint based upon lighting conditions. They darken quickly (~10 seconds) when the sun is out for squint-free daytime riding. If you’re interested in the Bell Star Carbon Airtrix Boggie, just get in touch with MIKE by calling 866.931.6644 ext. 804 or send an email to FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM and we’ll get back to you right away!
  24. Australian-born Michael "Mick" Sydney Doohan is a former professional motorcycle racer who won five consecutive 500 cc World Championships (1994-1998). The first turn at Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit is named after the motorcycle legend. Now the Corsair-X is available in a Doohan graphic: The Doohan Star-2. The Doohan Star-2 graphic has a red, white, blue and black color scheme. The top features a white and black outline of Australia, and the lower sides have the Australian flag to honor Doohan's home country. On the back of the helmet is Doohan's signature koala bear logo. The new PB SNC2 Shell of the Corsair-X is much lighter. Another significant change is the new "Variable Axis System" (VAS). The VAS has a variable axis (moving pivot point) allowing the shield to open and close, even with the 24mm lower shield mount position. The interior of the Corsair-X not only provides protection and comfort, but also does a great job keeping you cool. The plush lining in combination with the ventilation system wicks sweat away and helps keep you a comfortable temperature. The interior is made of Eco Pure material, which helps maintain neutral acidity levels close to human skin and antibacterial consumption. MSRP $969.95 5mm peel away ear pockets on the Corsair-X allow riders room for a communication system. Per customers’ requests, Arai lowered the chin bar by 3mm for extra comfort (great for riders that use a microphone) and upgraded the chin curtain and neck roll to help block out unwanted noise and help improve ventilation. The Corsair-X comes with a VAS V MV Shield, which is a clear anti-fog Pinlock shield. There are several tinted shield options available for purchase as well. The Arai Corsair-X is both Snell 2015 and DOT approved. If you have any questions about the product or would like to place an order, feel free to give MIKE a call at 866.931.6644 ext. 804. The Nolan N91 has a different shell shape and vent configuration compared to the N90: its rear vent is larger and the top vent is now adjustable. The shell is constructed of strong polycarbonates. This helmet features a 'Clima Comfort' liner that is fully removable and anti-microbial. Unique to Nolan helmets, the N91 has a Microlock2 double lever retention system located on the chin strap.
