It's a motorcycle capable of entertaining sporting behavior, yet one that's also comfortable, reliable and so utterly unassuming that you might be lead to believe this whole two-wheeling thing is easy.” -Motorcyclist Magazine 2002 My VFR has 47,000mi. It has been meticulously maintained and garage kept. It looks good and runs great! It has been adult ridden and has a clean title. Some scuffs on left side, pics available. $3000 OBO. 8. So what's on the calendar for sportbike riders in and around Columbus for 2014? What events are you looking forward to? What would you like to see more of from dealers and local businesses as far as getting groups of riders out and about? I ask because most events I attend seem to consist of mostly vtwins - there have to be events that focus on sportbikes that I am just not aware of. What about bike shows? Do you find that there are classes for metric bikes? if there were, would you bring your bike and your friends out? Do you bring your sportbike out to poker runs and such?
  9. So, I'm not sure how many of you know this, but I'm in the job shop/contract CNC machining business. I primarily focus on military small arms components, but I've been getting more and more inclined to diversify to other industries (medical, aerospace, commercial firearms, etc) and one of those is aftermarket for bikes and possibly cars if I ever fall in love with a car again. Hard to go back to cars after having so much fun with bikes, though. Anyway, I want to take a stab at making bike aftermarket goodies, and having researched the Grom since they were announced, I think that might be a good bike to start on. Reasons being: it's new to the states, just released and starting to be delivered. cheap and accessible. just has a very "fun" and "hooligan" type attitude about it which I think is breeding grounds for people wanting to blow stupid money on a cheap bike. If you disagree, don't hold back. I want to know what you think. What I really want to know is, what kind of bike parts do YOU think would be good to make? I can make just about anything, but I want to focus on machined from billet components (that could be anodized or painted or powdercoated or bukkake-ed whatever). Fire away. Also, if you are involved with a shop that needs CNC work done, that wouldn't hurt either lol. i always have room for more work.

  11. 2002 Honda Shadow Spirit in excellent shape. White in color with saddle bags, windshield, cobra pipes, crash bars. Just put brand new tires and new tubes on June 12 and have routine maintenance done in shop ( chain lubed, tightened, brakes checked, oil etc) Has almost 17,000 miles on but will continue to climb as I do ride it. Asking $3,000. Looking to upgrade to bigger bike to carry my fat butt around. does have one issue.. the plastic end on throttle side grip broke off. doesn't effect anything but could put new grips on.
