  1. I know it's sort of late notice, but OMRL is running at PIRC this weekend, June 13 & 14. If you've never been on the kart track, it's very nice, and has some fun elevation changes. Saturday is an UNOFFICIAL practice day that the track is running. We will be sharing the track with rental karts, but there should be enough bikes for us to get 30-40 minutes per hour. Cost is $50 (or at least it was last year) and starts at noon. We'll stop when they make us (6:00 or 7:00), so there should be PLENTY of riding time available. Rental bikes are available for $50 + $25 crash deposit. Don't crash and your $25 is refunded. inquire at ohiominiroadracingleague@gmail.com Racing on Sunday is $65 for the first class and $15 for subsequent. We'll run qualifying in the morning to determine afternoon grids. It is only 1 heat per class due to the time qualifying takes, but it's a longer track than CRP, so 10 laps is more track time (my best at CRP is :56.x, my best at PIRC last year was 1:15.x) Even if you don't ride, it is a great spectator facility, and they'll have exotic cars on the North track through 'extreme experience' or something. I wouldn't spend $300 on a few paced laps, but it is pretty badass to hear a McLaren and a Lambo ripping down the front straight without very little other engine noise to distort its song. stop by my blue "www.OnlinePaddock.com" canopy and say hi. We should have plenty of shade, water, and probably beers after we're doing riding for the day.
  2. One of the best armor vests on the market, the Knox Track Vest features their top of the line Aegis back protector, YKK zips, padded chest, and a vest that is removable and washable! Retails at $219.95, check out the Knox Track Vest on our website. If you have anymore questions or would like to place an order, give our sales expert MIKE a call at 866.931.6644 ext. 804. Is email more convenient? Send us a message through this forum or write to us at FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM, and we'll get back to you right away! Trusted by MotoGP rider James Ellison and Isle of Man TT winner Michael Rutter, the Knox Armor Vest is based around their Aegis back protector. The Aegis back protector is very unique in that it uses multi-link CE Level 2 protection that conforms and twists to your body. The honeycomb base on the back protector is not only safe but extremely comfortable and aids with airflow. Speaking of airflow, the mesh vest is breathable and moisture-wicking. When it becomes too smelly, simply zip it off from the back protector and throw it in the wash following the care instructions on the label. Inside the vest you'll find a velcro strip to hold in the optional Knox chest protector and a padded back spacer that really allows for maximum airflow. This is removable if you don't like the feel. The low profile chest does not constrict articulation and fits even under the tightest of racing suits. Best of all with wearing this full vest, you don't have to worry about the back protector moving out of place when you pull your suit on. Everything stays in place with the Knox Armor vest. Available from Riders Discount, the Knox Track vest fits true to size but if you have any questions on sizing, give us a call and we'll gladly help you out! What do you think of the Track Vest from Knox? Leave us a comment below!

  8. Since I pre-registered for once and since TRMN8TR is so not on top of it, I guess I will post this thread. Come one, come all to play on saturday and sunday in beautiful Wampum, Pennsylvania. BeaveRun/PIRC is a great track and motoseries is a great org to race/ride with. It is on September 14 and 15, the track day being on the saturday the 14th. Most of us will get there friday night, and hang out saturday night to ride go karts and drink and skull fuck hollywood's bike. I will be there to ride in Advanced on satuday (probably not coaching, though I may give the occasional tow around in Intermediate if anyone needs one) and racing on sunday. Post up if you're going, wanna go, have questions, not sure, and generally need to be peer pressured into going.
  9. You may not be able to walk into a dealership and leave with a MotoGP prototype bike like Jorge Lorenzo’s Yamaha YZR-M1 or the Honda RC213V of Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa, but you can give Riders Discount a call and have the same suit worn by some of the best riders in the world delivered right to your door (minus the custom fit, of course) - the Alpinestars Race Replica. The Alpinestars Race Replica is the brand’s flagship suit. It is constructed using their premium, full grain, 1.3mm leather for the highest level of abrasion resistance and durability. The leather pieces are sewn together into an aggressive race fit using multiple-stitched main seams that are extremely resistant to tearing. Perforation is abundant on the large leather panels, but it is not found everywhere. Alpinestars carefully thought out the layout of the perforations in order to provide a great deal of ventilation without reducing the strength of the leather by punching too many holes in it. For this reason, you will find that there are no perforations next to the seams, or in high risk abrasion zones. In addition to high-grade leather, a variety of armor types beef up the protection provided by the Race Replica. Starting at the top of the suit, the shoulders have hard, thermoplastic molded shoulder protectors that not only provide a great deal of impact protection, but also vent air through the open channels in the shell. Alpinestars has been involved with top riders for years, and this means that they have a gathered a lot data from numerous crashes. This data, combined with their own research means that they are very familiar with the parts of the body that touch down first and most often in a crash. This is why they beefed up the elbows and forearms by using a seamless leather construction with external PU protectors on top. These take the brunt of the impact and slide instead of catching the pavement. Impact energy is further mitigated by the CE certified armor and energy absorbing foam found underneath the leather. Inside the torso, Alpinestars provides a CE level 2 back protector and a chest protector. The chest also has pockets that allow you to easily add the Bionic Chest Guards if you choose to do so. Continuing down the suit, you will find the tried and true knee protectors that will be familiar to those that have worn the previous generation suit. Alpinestars did not carry these over to the new suit because they are cutting corners, they did so because they are highly effective. External TPU armor wraps around the knee and CE certified protectors with energy absorbing foam backs it up underneath. One unique aspect of these knee protectors is the is the soft grip patch found on the inner surface of each of each leg that helps give you better contact with the bike. All of this protection means that the suit isn't exactly lightweight, but this doesn’t mean it’s uncomfortable. The new Race Replica is a stiff suit at first and many think it is too small when they first try it on, but it stretches and conforms to your body very quickly thanks to the abundant leather and Kevlar stretch panels. Torso mobility is aided by the new leather stretch panels encircling the shoulder and connecting to the collar. These same panels branch off and run down down the side of the body to the waist. The lower body is flexible due to the use of Kevlar stretch material in the crotch and back of the legs, but this ends at the knee. Leather stretch panels take over again at that point to surround the knee armor and cover the entire calf. The calf is another area that generally feels tight the first time the suit is worn, but it stretches to your size quickly. One of the reasons that you find the additional stretch panels in the upper body is the optional Tech Air airbag system. This system is a great piece of technology that Alpinestars has been developing for more than 10 years. It uses sensors and a computer to constantly monitor rider movement so that it can determine if a crash is imminent by recognizing movements that deviate from the norm. In the event that a crash is going to happen, the airbags can be deployed in less than .05 seconds to protect the shoulders and collarbones. The Tech Air Airbag system is not available through dealers at this time and must be purchased directly through Alpinestars themselves. The Alpinestars Racing Replica suit is the best mass produced suit on the market, whether you use the airbag system or not, and we can’t recommend it highly enough. You can inquire about yours by getting in touch with MIKE through the forum or by calling 866.931.6644 ext. 804. If email is more convenient for you, feel free to send one to FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM and we’ll get back to you right away! This suit is available in Black, White/Red, and the Black/White/Yellow shown here. MSRP $2899.95 The front of the suit is perforated heavily, but it is broken up by solid sections so that it doesn't reduce the strength of the leather. Notice how the perforations don't reach the seams. Leather stretch panels make this a flexible suit and give the additional expansion room necessary for the optional Tech Air Airbag system. The collar is soft for comfort and it lets air flow right through it. The hump also catches air and sends it down your back to help keep you cool. The forearm features GP-style protection through the elbow, plus a seamless piece of leather that covers the padding underneath. Shoulder armor serves double-duty by protecting and channeling air into the suit. The knee armor serves a dual-purpose as well. It not only protects, but also helps you grip your bike. The grey portion shown on the inside of this knee is the softer grip pad.
  10. This is going to take a slightly longer time table to sort, post and send out CD's. With Joe helping me shoot I have nearly 70 gigs of images to go through! Please be patient as this will take quite some time and I have two other clients I am taking care of this week as well. Thank you.
  11. After loosing the last file, here is the updated version. Event Flyer.pdf https://workspaces.acrobat.com/?d=KlfJK0jSw0Z6Fc9WYIKV2g
  12. Come one, come all! Watch, as I trample over TRMN8TR's dreams of being the thread starter for all the moto series weekend events. June 29th is the track day, June 30th is the race day. post up if you're coming, are thinking about coming, want to come but don't know how to get it up, and post if you're not coming so we can ridicule you into coming. As far as I know, trmn8tr and myself will be there. I hope to see the new noob racers there for this round, since we missed you last round.
  13. Buying a race suit can be nearly as difficult as buying a motorcycle it seems. And with retail pricing ranging from $799.95 to $2899.95 for Alpinestars suits, it is a decision that isn't taken lightly. We're going to go over the available Alpinestars suits to help better inform you on each one and hopefully allow you to feel more comfortable about your purchase. First, let's talk about fit. One of the most common calls we get from customers who just tried on their new suit is that it doesn't fit right and/or it doesn't feel comfortable. More often than not, they are basing this from standing up in their living room and walking around the house. A race suit is not meant for either of these scenarios, they're meant for the rider to be on the bike and carving up the track. The first thing we're going to ask you when you call with concerns about the fitment is how does it feel on the bike? When you first put on your new suit, it's going to take a lot of work and you're going to look ridiculous putting it on, that's a given. We've all been there. After you get your suit zipped up, get out to your bike and sit on it. Get in a tuck, get your butt off like you're going to drag knee (be careful and make sure it's on a rear stand or have a buddy help hold the bike). Does it feel comfortable now? Is it hindering your movement at all? These are questions to ask yourself before determining if the fit is good, or if the fit is off. If you think it's still not fitting right, give us a call and we'll be more than happy to answer any questions you have or exchange for a different size. Ladies, we have suit options for you too. Give us a call if you need help with sizing or if you'd like to purchase a suit. The complete Alpinestars' suit line covers a range of riding styles, from Sunday morning cruises to WSBK level race suits. First up is the Alpinestars Motegi Suit - Alpinestars Motegi Suit - $799.95 MSRP -- Entry level -- Motegi two piece options available -- Alpinestars Motegi Suit Full Review The new entry level suit from Alpinestars. This is a great all-around suit that is perfect for carving canyons or tackling a trackday. Alpinestars designed the Motegi with a less aggressive cut than the ultra-aggressive higher end suits, meaning that it is possible to stand up off of the bike without it feeling like a workout. This doesn’t mean that it is any less comfortable on the bike, however. The Motegi features durable Aramidic stretch panels that run down the length of the underarms, sides of the torso, crotch and back of the legs for increased mobility and comfort on longer rides. Available in black/white, white/black, black/white/red, white/black/red, black/white/yellow (pictured here), and black/white/gold Alpinestars SP-1 Suit - $899.95 MSRP -- Entry - Intermediate level -- Closeout -- Alpinestars SP-1 Suit Full Review The SP-1 suit from Alpinestars is a full-on race suit and one of our most popular selling suits. It's easy to see why they've kept this suit in their lineup since 2009. CE-approved GP armor is found in the knees, elbows, and shoulders and has the option of adding in the Alpinestars Bionic Race back protector and Bionic Race chest guards for even more protection. This suit is heavily perforated in the chest, legs, arms, back, and the race hump, and perfect for riders in the warmer climates or the humid mid-west climates. Available in black, or white/black (limited sizes) Alpinestars Orbiter Suit - $899.95 -- Intermediate -- Alpinestars Orbiter Suit Full Review The Alpinestars Orbiter suit puts an emphasis on providing a comfortable riding suit that can handle multitudes of riding styles. This suit is the best all-around suit offered by Alpinestars. Perfect whether you're just out for a ride, carving up the canyons, or at a track day. Alpinestars has accomplished this by incorporating proven protection technology with new ergonomic features such as an offset zipper and copious amounts of stretch material, such as across the chest. The Orbiter is available in the black/white/red shown here, and black/white. Alpinestars GP Pro Suit - $1199.95 MSRP -- Intermediate - Advanced -- GP-Pro two piece option available -- Alpinestars GP Pro Suit Full Review One of the first suits we see in the Alpinestars collection to have heavy influences from MotoGP and WSBK development. This suit has DFS (Dynamic Friction Shield) protectors in the shoulders and elbows. Whether you drag your elbow on purpose or by accident is your choice, but at least you'll be protected! A removable, washable mesh liner will help keep this suit fresh for long into its wearable life. Also notable with this suit is a 3D mesh sleeve and ankle cuffs for breathability and added comfort with gloves and boots. Available from Riders Discount in black/white/red (shown here), black/white/grey, and black/white/hi-viz yellow. TheGP Pro two-piece suit option is available as well in black, and black/white/grey, however it is not perforated. Alpinestars Atem Suit - $1499.95 MSRP -- Advanced -- CE-approved -- Alpinestars Atem Suit full review As briefly noted, the Alpinestars Atem suit is CE-approved. Not just the armor or specific areas of the suit, the entire suit is CE-approved. This is without a doubt one of the safest suits ever produced. Alpinestars has accomplished this incredible safety rating using high-grade, highly abrasion resistant leather with additional leather reinforcements in impact zones. Adding to the protection is an array of armor that use much of the same technology found in the Race Replica suit including DFS protectors on the shoulders, elbows, and knees. The Atem is a suit that, while expensive, actually offers a great deal of bang for the buck. There aren’t currently any other suits that offer this kind of high-end tech at a price near it. On top of that, we think it’s one of the best looking suits on the market! Available in black/white/red (shown here), and black/white and black/white/yellow.

  15. Based off the same suit that you'll see Andrea Dovizioso, Aleix Espargaro, Marco Melandri, and others in the MotoGP and WSBK paddock, the Spidi Track Wind Pro Race suit is an excellent option for those wanting world class development at a price range that is more affordable than its competition. The Spidi Track Wind Pro leather suit is available on Riders Discount's website. If you have any questions on fitment or would like to place an order, give MIKE a call at 866.931.6644 ext. 804. Is email more convenient? Send us a message through this forum or write to us at FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM, and we'll get back to you right away! Constructed from Italian cowhide, the Spidi Track Wind Pro race suit features a removable, washable liner, autolock zippers, adjustable CE armor, massive ventilation, and space for an optional Spidi Hydroback in the race hump. One of the coolest features on this suit that makes it stand out from the rest is the ability to install a water bladder into the race hump. A capacity of about .5L, this is a perfect solution to keep you hydrated on long track sessions or out in the canyons. Race suits will develop an odor after months of usage and guys, it stinks. Spidi's suit has a removable, washable liner that will keep your suit smelling fresh and your lady friend happy(ish). Extensive ventilation is seen throughout the suit. The race hump, shoulders, lower torso, and thighs are heavily perforated. Across the top of the shoulders are large intakes with mesh grills. You can have all the intakes vents in the world and it would be no good without an exhaust. Spidi has added 7 exhaust vents out the back to keep the air flowing through the suit. The Spidi Track Wind Pro Race suit is available in black/red (pictured here), black/white, white/red/green, black/green, white/blue, and Dovisioso replica red. Fit on the Spidi race suit is the same as the other Euro brands. If you have any questions on fitment, feel free to ask us and we'll help you out!
  16. The all new Ohlins TTX GP shock is straight off of WSBK machines. Ok not really, but it's about as close as you can get to WSBK technology for your bike. Using all new valve stacks, the compression and rebound adjustments have improved even more over the MkII. With the TTX GP, you'll get a wider range of adjustment with more consistent feedback on a lighter shock body. This is not listed on our website, but if you have any questions or would like to place an order just give MIKE a call at 866.931.6644 ext. 804. Is email more convenient? Send us a message through this forum or write to us at FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM, and we'll get back to you right away! The main difference between the MkII and the TTX GP are the rebound and compression valves which are straight out of the WSBK machines. Initially what you'll notice when you receive your Ohlins TTX GP shock is that you can adjust the TTX GP rebound and compression with your fingers by turning the knobs. The MkII required an allen key to make any adjustment. Diving deeper into the valving, the TTX MkII valving was quite a bit thinner and had no support at the end of the needle resulting in a needle that flexed due to internal pressure giving you non-linear changes in adjustment. The TTX GP valving is much beefier with a fully supported needle giving you more consistent changes in the adjustments. This is the same shock the Riders Discount Triumph team used to finish off their season resulting in placing as the top Triumph team. Riders Discount Triumph crew chief and MotoGP engineer, Richard Stanboli, noted that this Ohlins TTX GP shock is much improved over the MkII with an adjustment range that is more linear than previous versions. Pictured here is the Ohlins TTX GP shock off the Riders Discount Triumph 675R being serviced before the Mid-Ohio race. What this means is that each click on the TTX GP is going to have the the same change in feedback throughout the adjustment range whereas before, one click may have a smaller or greater change than the next. TTX GP is be available for most major bikes used in national racing as well as the new street bike models.
  17. Add strength and good looks to your engine cases with these case covers from Woodcraft Technologies available at Riders Discount. Typically, OEM case covers are made of thin cast metal that’s weaker than these CNC-machined beauties making them unreliable in a crash situation. The damage can be more than cosmetic, with leaking fluids, damaged stator parts and a time-intensive repair that won’t be cheap or easy. Woodcraft products are not yet available on our website. For more information, call MIKE at 866.931.6644 ext 804 or send him an email – FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM and we’ll get back to you right away! For example on a GEN 4 ZX10 the stator cover MSRP $209.99 and ignition cover MSRP $139.99. Woodcraft case covers are sculpted from 6061 billet aluminum, the one-piece design is as artful as it is purposeful and will provide additional strength to areas that traditionally don’t always hold up so great in a crash. Woodcraft Triumph 675 case covers are engineered for a perfect fit and will not induce any bodywork clearance issues at all. And because they’re made in the USA by Woodcraft, each cover comes with a replaceable skid pad that’s designed to take the brunt of the crash, leaving you with a case cover that’s much less likely to require a total replacement. And, spare crash pads are available in your choice of stainless steel (thinner, for race applications) and black, blue, red or clear finishes. Each case cover kit also includes a new gasket, so you don’t have to worry about sourcing any additional parts to get them installed. The finish machining of each case cover is brilliant and these will not go unnoticed at the track or on bike night. A look inside the stator cover reveals that all mounting points for the OEM hardware have been drilled and tapped. All passages for routing the wiring safely have also been retained. The arrangement replicates exactly the OEM hardware and wiring setup for reliability and ease of installation. Woodcraft crash pads are attached to the case cover with three bolts from the inside which helps to ensure that 1). The piece does not fall off in a crash and 2). That the pad can be easily replaced after a crash since the attachment hardware will not be ground away. Pictured here for the Yamaha R1
  18. The Knox Handroid gloves are probably the most unique looking gloves to come in to the Riders Discount office in quite some time. The exoskeleton spines running up the fingers and across the top of the hand were the first thing to catch my attention. These look like they should be the gloves for Bane carrying a fluorescent green fluid... Next was the wrist closure mechanism. Where there normally would be a Velcro closure on the gauntlet was instead, a Boa Lacing System. On the rest of the glove you'll find a full range of safety and technical features such as Kangaroo leather, external stitching, double layers of leather in impact areas and more we'll go over in this review. Retails at $269.95 First up, these are not yet listed on the website but we have these available to order. If you would like to place an order or have any questions, feel free to give MIKE a call at 866.931.6644 ext. 804. Is email more convenient? Send us a message through this forum or write to us at FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM, and we'll get back to you right away! The exoskeleton spines - While these do look very cool and enough for any curious enthusiast to start a conversation with you, they do serve a very real purpose. These spines are attached to a fixed point on the middle knuckles and move in and out of the top armor via hidden springs. These take a load off of your hand by helping to maintain the curve around your grip and serve as protection for your knuckles in the event you go down. External armor - Everywhere you look there is armor to protect your hand. The most crucial area and a common impact zone is the outside of your palm. Knox have added two sliders here along with an additional layer of leather along the pinky. Knox have also added a palm slider for even more protection. Knox really went above and beyond the "usual" amount of armor found on gloves. This armor position does not get in the way of your handlebar grip and you do not notice it's there. Boa Lacing System - Snowboarders, hikers, hard core runners and bicyclers, will have seen this system before. It's a high-tech replacement for Velcro and offers micro-adjustability. Basically turn the dial until the gauntlet is secured to your liking. When you're done, simply pull the dial out to release the tension. Available in black/white (pictured here), red, white, or all black. These fit true to size and are available today. Give us a call to place your order!
  19. The latest iteration of tire warmers from Woodcraft feature all new thermal fabric, better thermostats, and an upgraded construction process. The Woodcraft Dual Temp tire warmers have been some of the top warmers on the market and with these key updates in the Gen III, they've raised the bar even further. Get yours today from Riders Discount! Made in the USA with retail at $419.99, these are available and in stock at Riders Discount. Not yet listed on our website, these Woodcraft Tire Warmers can be ordered by calling MIKE at 866.931.6644 ext. 804 or by sending us a private message through this forum. Is email more convenient? Write to us at FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM, and we'll get back to you right away! So what exactly is new with these tire warmers? For starters, Woodcraft is using an all new thermostat that holds the temperatures to a tighter range. Tighter temperature ranges means more predictable tire feedback as soon as you get out on track. Next up, Woodcraft is using Polartec Wind Pro fabric, a new revolution in thermal fabric. This new thermal fabric features tight knit construction blocking 95% of wind. Finally, Woodcraft completely updated the construction of the tire warmers. They've gone through the entire warmer from end to end and upgraded every seam with double stitched nomex thread ensuring durability for years of abuse at the track. On top of all this, Woodcraft has retained all the great features we love from previous iterations. Their small gap heating elements ensure an evenly heated tire, fleece side curtains protect your tire from side winds, and easy, quick installation and removal of the warmers. One of the best features is their quick-disconnect plug. Woodcraft was one of the first to include a safety disconnect cord on their warmers which prevent you from accidentally leaving them on while off the bike. It is impossible to take these warmers off without disconnecting the plug first. Elasticized insulating fleece side curtains which cut heat loss at the edge of the tire In stock and ready to ship, give us a call to order these tire warmers today!
  20. Aldo Drudi is a world-famous designer, known for his work on MotoGP racers’ helmets and leathers. Drudi has designed gear for racers such as Kevin Schwantz, Valentino Rossi, and Marc Marquez. The Italian designer created the “Statement” graphic specially for the Corsair-X. The design is simple yet eye catching, featuring clean lines and blocks of color. It is available in both red/white/blue and black/red/white color schemes. Arai Corsair-X Black Statement Helmet The new PB SNC2 Shell of the Corsair-X is much lighter. In fact, it is 30% lighter than the Corsair-V. This is greatly attributed to the synthetic fibers and special resin formula that Arai has developed. Arai has not abandoned their special R75 shell shape, however. A lightweight, aerodynamic, and protective helmet is very sought after by racers, and Arai certainly has delivered. One of the biggest changes with this helmet is the upgraded ventilation system. The top/center vent allows around 11% more airflow than the Corsair-V did. All of the vents on the new Corsair-X are easier to adjust with gloves, as well as more durable and longer. MSRP $969.95 Another significant change is the new "Variable Axis System" (VAS). The VAS has a variable axis (moving pivot point) allowing the shield to open and close, even with the 24mm lower shield mount position. Arai Corsair-X White Statement Helmet The interior of the Corsair-X not only provides protection and comfort, but also does a great job keeping you cool. The plush lining in combination with the ventilation system wicks sweat away and helps keep you a comfortable temperature. The interior is made of Eco Pure material, which helps maintain neutral acidity levels close to human skin and antibacterial consumption. 5mm peel away ear pockets on the Corsair-X allow riders room for a communication system. Per customers’ requests, Arai lowered the chin bar by 3mm for extra comfort (great for riders that use a microphone) and upgraded the chin curtain and neck roll to help block out unwanted noise and help improve ventilation. MSRP $969.95 The Corsair-X comes with a VAS V MV Shield, which is a clear anti-fog Pinlock shield. There are several tinted shield options available for purchase as well. The Arai Corsair-X is both 2015 Snell and DOT certified. If you have any questions about the product or would like to place an order, feel free to give MIKE a call at 866.931.6644 ext. 804. 22. The Arai Corsair-X Spencer 30th Anniversary Helmet is just as spectacular as the race season that it commemorates. American rider Freddie Spencer is considered one of the greatest professional motorcycle racers from the 1980’s. In 1985 Spencer won not just one, but three different titles in the Daytona 200. To this day, Spencer is the only racer to win all three titles in the same year. With classic red, white, and blue graphics, the Spencer Corsair-X is a timeless design. The helmet has gold detailing to outline the design. To further celebrate, the helmet features a special Spencer 30th anniversary graphic on the back. We recommend going up one size from your usual Alpinestars glove size. Worried about ordering the wrong size? Don't worry, Riders Discount has an easy returns and exchanges policy. Since their introduction, the Alpinestars GP Pro gloves have been one of the best selling pairs in the Alpinestars glove line-up. Their great balance of protection, comfort, and price made them extremely popular for both the track and the street. Alpinestars has brought out the new, re-engineered version of the the GP Pro’s, and they didn't disappoint. Apart from the new styling, the new GP Pro gloves look quite similar to the outgoing version. This is because defining features like the TPU knuckle protectors and cuff have already proven to be extremely effective at the top levels of racing and did not need to be changed. Don’t let the similar appearance fool you, because Alpinestars did make some key improvements. The most important addition is probably the L-shaped slider that sits on outside of each palm. This TPU piece helps keep the hand from catching in the event of a palms out landing. It is extremely abrasion resistant and slick so that impact energy is deflected into a slide, rather than being transmitted up the hand and into the wrist. Alpinestars kept their patented finger-bridge connecting the pinky to the ring finger, but the pinky itself received a big upgrade. Replacing the old double-layered leather is a significantly stronger system that Alpinestars calls K-Tech. This surrounds the pinky in two layers of Kevlar, two layers of leather, and energy absorbing foam for very high levels of impact protection and abrasion resistance. A Kevlar lining also covers the top of the hand, all fingers and outside of the thumb. Available today from Riders Discount, let us know what color you want to order and give us a call or send us an email to order these Alpinestars GP Pro gloves today!
