The Klim Apex Textile Jacket features a Gore-Tex 3 layer pro shell. Constructed of durable nylon, this jacket offers excellent protection and abrasion resistance. Perforated Italian leather overlay on the shoulders and elbows provides additional protection. Accordion stretch leather panels under the elbows make it easier to move and more comfortable in the riding position. Two outside oblique ventilation ports and two lower arm intake vents allow cool air in while open. VT100 YKK Vislon Aquagard water-resistant zippers help to block out water. The Apex jacket is equipped with D30 T5 Evo Pro XT armor in the shoulders and elbows. A D30 Viper Pro back protector is also included. D3O armor is extremely flexible, but upon impact, the molecules lock together to absorb the energy rather than it transferring to your body. External arm tension straps secure the armor in place. A bottom hem cinch cord allows you to customize the fit of the Apex jacket. This jacket has 5 internal and 6 external pockets.
