A step up from the GP Plus R Gloves, the Alpinestars GP Pro R2 Gloves are constructed from full grain cow and goat leather, with kangaroo leather on the palms. The internal lining on the top of the hand, thumb, and little finger is made with Dupont Kevlar fiber. Perforated leather allows for excellent airflow, keeping your hands cool and dry in warm weather. The knuckles incorporate Alpinestars' Dynamic Friction Shield (DFS) knuckle protection system "for superior resistance to repeated impacts." Air intake/exhaust ports on the knuckles and vented TPR provide additional ventilation. These gloves have stretch leather accordions on the fingers and thumbs to provide extra comfort and flexibility. A finger bridge over the third and fourth finger helps to protect fingers from separation and contortion in a crash. The GP Pro R2 Gloves have a single cuff closure and TPU injected cuff panels. TPU palm and finger sliders are impact and abrasion resistant. The Alpinestars GP Pro Suit is constructed from 1.3mm full-grain leather and features Kevlar-reinforced inserts. This suit was designed to integrate the new Alpinestars Tech-Air Race airbag system (sold separately). An LED display on sleeve indicates the airbag’s operational status. This suit has poly-fabric stretch panels on the underarms, crotch, calves, and knees for flexibility and comfort. It is equipped with poly-textile accordion stretch panels for better mobility and performance. The GP Pro incorporates Alpinestars’ exclusive Dynamic Friction Shield (DFS) shoulder, elbow, and knee protectors as well as removable, CE-approved elbow, shoulder, and knee protectors. The inside chest, torso, coccyx and back areas include PE comfort padding. If you're looking for more protection, the Nucleon KR-R Back Protector and Nucleon KR-Ci Chest Protectors are compatible and sold separately. Perforation throughout the suit allows for excellent ventilation. The GP Pro has a MotoGP-profiled, aerodynamic back hump that is perforated for increased airflow. Zippered expansion gussets on the back of the calves provide additional flexibility. The Alpinestars GP Pro Suit is available in 1-piece and 2-piece options. Note: the Alpinestars GP Pro 2-Piece Suit is not Alpinestars Tech-Air Race airbag system compatible. We recommend going up one size from your usual Alpinestars glove size. Worried about ordering the wrong size? Don't worry, Riders Discount has an easy returns and exchanges policy. Since their introduction, the Alpinestars GP Pro gloves have been one of the best selling pairs in the Alpinestars glove line-up. Their great balance of protection, comfort, and price made them extremely popular for both the track and the street. Alpinestars has brought out the new, re-engineered version of the the GP Pro’s, and they didn't disappoint. Apart from the new styling, the new GP Pro gloves look quite similar to the outgoing version. This is because defining features like the TPU knuckle protectors and cuff have already proven to be extremely effective at the top levels of racing and did not need to be changed. Don’t let the similar appearance fool you, because Alpinestars did make some key improvements. The most important addition is probably the L-shaped slider that sits on outside of each palm. This TPU piece helps keep the hand from catching in the event of a palms out landing. It is extremely abrasion resistant and slick so that impact energy is deflected into a slide, rather than being transmitted up the hand and into the wrist. Alpinestars kept their patented finger-bridge connecting the pinky to the ring finger, but the pinky itself received a big upgrade. Replacing the old double-layered leather is a significantly stronger system that Alpinestars calls K-Tech. This surrounds the pinky in two layers of Kevlar, two layers of leather, and energy absorbing foam for very high levels of impact protection and abrasion resistance. A Kevlar lining also covers the top of the hand, all fingers and outside of the thumb.
