  2. Posting for a friend, info below: 2004 Suzuki SV650s~29800 miles-Clean Title in handWhy this is the perfect motorcycleV-Twin power. Unlike 4-cylinder sportbikes, this bike has a very wide power band which makes it easy to ride and provide plenty of torque and power at a wider range of RPMs. Also, the sound of a rumbling V-twin, especially with the M4 exhaust, is one of the most pleasing things about owning this bike. The riding position on this bike is much more forgiving than other sportbikes out there, especially with the Heli risers.Barely worn front and rear Dunlop tiresFew Modifications, most done by the previous owner.Incredible Sounding M4 ExhaustPower Commander III USB Aftermarket FI controllerFrame SlidersTank scratch protector and side gripsFlush mounted turn signalsRear Fender eliminatorBrand New foot shifterDC power outlet added in front fender for charging phones, GPS, etc.Heli bar risers for a more comfortable riding position. 8. I've been doing a lot of riding lately, I'm getting about 175 miles (give or take) on 3.7xx gal of gas = 47.29 MPG. Is it just me or is that horrible? Sprockets are stock spec (15T x 44T I believe), air filter is K&N and was recently cleaned, haven't checked plugs, but it purs, so I doubt it's that, bike has 21,xxx miles. Driving habits: I let the engine temp hit 100 oF before I even move it, and I'm very easy on it till it hits about 130+ I do some "spirited" riding but usually I shift @ about 5- 5 1/2 RPM. Also when my speedo claims I'm going 80 MPH, if i look over to a car next to me (happened on more than 1 occassion) their speedo says 70 MPH, being that said that actually makes my MPG even worse. Shouldn't my MPG be better?
  9. Hey OR, Kind of fell off of the forum for a while after I sold the R6, so I figured I would jump back in with a new thread. After juggling a few toys around, I finally realized that I was happiest when I had my bike, so I bought another one in October. This is my first Suzuki (and honestly, still kind of miss my Yamahas, but maybe I'll outgrow that), but people seem to like these things, so I figured I would give it a shot. Bike is an 06 SV650S, got a decent deal on it, and it runs well, but has a lot of little issues to work out. The whole front end was a mess, so I bought a GSXR front end, and a ZX14 shock to even out the rear. Along with those came new brake pads, new front tire, grips, etc. Hoblick is putting the Frankenstein assortment of parts together over the next few weeks. My goal is to eventually make this a track machine, but I am keeping it street legal for now, while I get my track legs, and because this is my only bike. If anyone has experience with these and wants to offer some tips, I'm all ears. Might be out of parts money for a while, but I can get a list together for next winter. Looking forward to joining you guys (and gals) on a few rides again soon A couple before pics - I'll post updates as they are complete:
