The Stig appears on Google maps

In typical Stig pose, he's next to the A82 in Inverness, Scotland.

In the google street view from the first link, if you move up and down the street you can see the Stig is only there for 1 image capture and there is someone in the car across the street in the other shots.

It appears that the google vehicle stopped to allow the Stig to pose for the camera before continuing on his way

 

From the other articles it appears Stig has been spotted in a similar spot next to the Lock Ness before.

 

So the question is why did Google remove previous images of the Stig?
