Big Chief201
I know there are some girls on here and it always amazes me but I saw a girl on a GSXR 750 with a pink helmet on my way to work this morning. It was hot. Its a rare girl who will ride on her own. Granted you couldnt see her face .l

troyec001
My girlfriend has been debating on learning to ride or not. She says she's losing her appeal to ride the longer she waits, until she rides. Then it'll change.
Dweezel
I wish my girl would ride. She's scared to and says she has no real desire to learn, but loves to ride with me. Not that I don't like riding with her, but I'd much rather ride solo.
fusion
Have her sign up for the MSF course. Once she finishes that she'll want to ride more than ever.
Gump
My girlfriend and I are taking the MSF course in may. She's got a Sv 650s. It'll be a good thing. I'm a little worried about her riding but she's skilled. You hear all the horror stories from people when they find out you got bikes. BornSinner
The MSF course is general is pretty great. I had fun when I took it and my wife's confidence went way up afterwards.I been riding bikes for many years and I have just been renewing my temps.....(sometimes renewing nothing...hahahha)But back to the point of this...Myself and my better half are getting ready to take this course....hell you cant bet learning how to ride and get your lic for $25....The bad thing about it is...that the class fills up so damn fast....so if she didnt sign up.....bout the only way that you can get in is to wait on the first class day....if a spot opens, you can get lucky... Gump
cant bet learning how to ride and get your lic for $25....It's costing us $300 each? I get $75 off thru honda because i bought a new bike but where the heck is there a course for $25? The one we are taking is 4 days long at the Hardley Dealer and two days of it we get to ride Beull's. Then if you pass the course you don't have to take the test at the DMV you just show them your certification. I already have my endorsement form way back but you can never be too safe. Dweezel
lol yeah, HD courses, like everything else they sell, is a rip off. You can go through the state for 25 bucks. Same course, bikes aren't as nice I'm sure, but they'll work for the intended purpose.

I did the one out at Honda in Troy and they have dedicated courses for MSF and dirtbike MSF along with new bikes every year. Nice place. If it's at a Harley Dealer they are just doing to you like they do on their motorcycles...charge more than they are worth. Same course, bikes aren't as nice I'm sure, but they'll work for the intended purpose.Actually, the harley course is nothing more but a rebranded MSF course with a bit of HD propiganda. MSF courses typically run 300$ everywhere. It's just that the state will subsidize the course so its only 25$ to encourage more people to do it. HD is actually not charging anymore than you would find elsewhere.

So for H-D to charge $300 for a course where there state helps kick in so it's only $25 is even more ridiculous. Especially when you consider places like the Troy Honda course exist. Gump
I went to the link above and read a little. If you are under 18 you have to take this Motorcycle ohio course then take the Dmv test. If you are over 18 you don't have to take the course and you can just go take the Dmv riding test. The course that i'm apparently now getting the hose on allows you to spend $300 bucks and not have to take the test at the DMV. Yep i'm still getting hosed but i gues i won't have to wait in line at the DMV as long. Damn girlfriend and i already prepaid. I think i would have just did the ohio course. This is the link to the rip off, get out of riding at the DMV course. http://nm.msf-usa.org/msf/ridercourses.aspx
