RidersDiscount
If you have an older motorcycle, you have likely run into electrical troubles. If you’re lucky, more often than not it is just the battery. But for the unfortunate ones, finding the source of an electrical gremlin can be a nightmare. The basic motorcycle electrical system consists of three main components, the battery, the alternator, and the regulator/rectifier. The alternator creates the electricity by converting kinetic energy into electrical to charge the battery. The battery stores the energy, while the regulator keeps the voltage from overcharging the battery, and the rectifier converts current from AC to DC. If anyone of these components fails, it can have the owner chasing their tail to diagnose the problem. For help with diagnostics, ElectrSport has provided a PDF flow chart to aid in finding a solution to your problem. Riders Discount offers a solution to whatever your problem requires by having stators, regulator/rectifiers, and batteries available. ElectroSport includes a 12-month warranty against defects in workmanship or materials. If you need help with installation, be sure to ask your Riders Discount salesman about picking up a Clymer manual for your bike.
