Regulator Rectifier refresh

Swapped out my stunt regulator on my 03 Tuono (25,000 miles) to an cheap ebay FA012 mosfet shunt from a wrecked R1. fins actually have a tiny bit of rash and connector was cracked.

Just used spade connections and hot glue to the unit and cut out the Brown Connector  :bbq:  off and used crimped splices and shrinkwrap.

Today instead of half my subframe being "HotPlate" it's now body temp and more importantly I get charging voltage higher then 13.5V at high rpm. I should have read it with an infrared thermometer on it before the swap.

I ran my old lead battery just in case and am swapping my WPS featherweight LIPO back in now.

I wonder if there wasn't a bad quality wire supplier around 99/2000  a lot of bikes have bad rectifiers and the ones I've chopped have had patina looking colored copper.

I'm also a VFR failed stator veteran.
