I want to pick up a system that will allow me to be able to turn on a 1 amp ceiling fan using an iPhone via the internet. I fixed the drainage system at my house such that the basement doesn't flood anymore, but when we get a heavy rain, the basement (and eventually the rest of the house) still smell awful (septic). I want the ability to use my iPhone to remotely turn on a big exhaust fan in the basement when bad weather is expected. I've been reading up on the Insteon systems and they look like what I need, and can be expanded.
