Benyen Soljax
can anyone who has an 03-05 R6/06-08 R6S post up some pics/tutorial on how to remove the middle fairing from the bike? i was trying to get it off to install my frame sliders but it seemed to be stuck on something that i couldnt figure out. i thought it was just rubber grommet matings, but i was pulling pretty hard and didnt want to do anything bad. the front wheel well area was providing some heavy resistance, but i had all the screws out. thanks. natedogg624
might be a rivet hiding somewhere
walther_gsp
There should be 2 plastic pins/rivets on the inside, front edge of the mid fairing. Put your hand underneath the front cowling below the headlight and run your hand along the inside edge and you'll feel them. Take a Phillips screwdriver and push in the center of the rivets real hard and it'll pop, allowing you to pull it out. I don't know if you have to take the lower fairing off or not, I've always had it off when I've removed the mid fairings.
