kennycoulter Posted April 18, 2005 Report Share Posted April 18, 2005 a friend of mine is swapping a 5 spd into his auto 1998 gti. basically everything is done, but there is a rod that goes through the top of the clutch and brake pedals. does anyone have any tips on how to get this thing to move? we cant seem to get the rod to go through a white plastic brake spring retainer piece.
